Hi everybody,
Just wanted to know if any of you estate agents (former or serving) could fill me in on the legal loop holes to jump though to become a legit freelancer if you would please?
So far I have I have discovered that you need to be registered with The Property Ombudsman, need PI insurance and a registered company?
Could anyone else please provide me with any other legal and industry needs to be above board?
Thank you.

You need to be able to smile, whilst lying through your teeth.
Allegedly, this is a legal requirement.I am a LandLord,(under review) so there!:p0 -
Hi MSMatt
This isn't an answer to your question - but I'm just intrigued.
Say I have a property to sell. How do I find out that you exist, what makes me decide to contact you, and why do I choose to instruct you in preference to other agents?
(Or will you find me, and if so how?)0 -
FYI a loophole is an inadvertent gap is the legislation which someone exploits in a way other than was originally intended by those that drafted that law. I think you probably meant to ask what steps you need to practice legally as an estate agent."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0
