CSA - Strange 'arrears' issue

Good evening,
I would like to see if anyone has experienced a similar issue and how it was resolved.
For the last 3 years I have been paying the same amount, on the same day, and without fail to my ex for my children. This was done through the CSA, however, in December we went from paying through them to paying directly because my ex was being made to wait 2 - 3 weeks every time.
Today I receive a letter saying I'm behind on payments which has baffled me completely. Speaking to them on the phone didn't really help and what I was advised doesn't match what's come out of my bank account. The issue is my ex, who is terrible with math, wants to claim for this mysterious arrears, but I'm sure she's received all payments I've made to her. I suspect the issue is with an overlap and I may have paid the full amount directly in December when what I should have done is pay the CSA part and the other part directly.
However I look at this I've not missed any payments (they were direct debits after all) and I've not been notified of any 'arrears' before.
Anyone got any ideas how to resolve this? I can evidence all payments for the last 3 years so just baffled!
Kindest regards,
Nick
