Some advice please...

My husband received a letter from ccs saying he had tax debts and that if he did not pay they woukd be round the next week to collect monies (possibly the day my mum was to be buried). The long and short of it he phoned and paid saying the debt went back years.

I have since read if it is older than 6yrs they cant do anything. Can someone please help!

Send the prove it letters first.

What sort of tax?

Official tax or duty owed to the crown etc is exempt from being statute barred after 6 years.
