Best credit card for 19 year old?

I am wondering what is the best credit card for me to get. I am in no debt and don't need the card to pay off large amounts I simply want to build a credit score from it. I currently pay no bills regularly so have nothing else to build my score with
I am wondering which card would be most suitable just to make the small purchases on which I would pay off in full each month.
Any help and suggestions would be great :)

capital one or Barclaycard initial, you will be very limited in what card you can have as your first, id try Barclaycard first, as this card can be upgraded internally in time.


set up direct debit and pay in full each month.


or the more horrid ones that I will not recommend.

your current bank might be able to give you a bog standard card, as they know you and you have a history with them.

If you're a student, most student accounts have the option of a credit card somewhere along the line.
