Can anyone help please?

My mate has lost his address bar in IE6. Told him to click on VIEW, then TOOLBARS and then ensure that ADDRESS BAR is ticked. He does this, but still no joy. Any ideas what's wrong and how to cure it?

the same thing happened to me and I couldnt figure out how to get it back, so i downloaded firefox instead. Tell him if he really wants to use IE, to upgrade to IE7 or tell him to do the sensible thing and get firefox/opera etc

Yes I think he might be better to download Firefox. He's on narrowband AOL - so I guess it will take a while for him to download it.

Yesterday I told him to download IE7, and he did so, but he keeps getting a message saying an error has occured. So I'm not sure what's gone wrong with that.

Thanks folks for your efforts. On talking to him this evening I think he possibly has a virus as when he tries to download Firefox or IE7 it seems to crash out midway through the download. He has ZoneAlarm and Antivir running, but I think something has got through somehow.
