Lloyds bank Theives

I have went through the process of re claiming my bank charges to a total of £3200. Lloyds bank sent me an offer 4 months later for £750.
Because I really need the money I accepted the offer. I asked the bank if I could have the refund by cheque. I was told by the call centre that this could be done but they'd need to put me through to a different department.

After 4 hours of being transferred to every different department in the Lloyds and told that that department don't deal with it I was told that the money had been paid into my Lloyds current account.

The next day I went to draw out the money and was shocked to find that Lloyds bank had taken £240 off me in charges.
I went to the branch and the manager said 'You can't have that money back, you owe us this money' then she shrugged her shoulders.

What can I do about this?

Please help me.

Thank you

(why did you accept such a low amount by the way?)
  • I reluctantly accepted the offer because I really needed the money.

I just could not believe it when I found out they'd taken £240 off the money that was paid into the account.

I asked for this to be refunded by cheque so this would not happen. But I found it strange that I got the offer letter yesterday and the money was in my account yesterday afternoon. It normally takes at least a few days to go through and there was nothing on the letter to decline the offer.

I feel like Lloyds bank have cheated me out of thousands of pounds of my own money.

I spoke to the Branch manager and she called an Indian call centre and they said that I'd told them I don't have a job. Which I certainly did not do.

I am in full time employment and have been with the same employer for 15 years.

Is there anything further I can do?

I feel Lloyds bank is just laughing at me.

    Thank you..
