Savers also stock the Nicky toilet rolls. The ones that Wilkinsons stock are only 2-ply.

We also get cushelle or velvet from makro. They usually have some on offer. They still wouldn't work out as cheap as the Nicky though. I have heard really good things about the Nicky but I am put off by it being thin looking. I have only seen it in Home Bargains though.

To be honest I don't find the Nicky ones to be thin although mum reckons that they are and she has only seen one roll and hasn't yet tried it for herself.

I am not used to fragranced toilet rolls but the green pack seems to have a pleasant smell (more like baby powder).

Well I have just been and bought some Nicky from Home Bargains. Just a 9 pack to try - works out at the same price. I think I like it!! I have compared it with the cushelle that is currently on the my roll and I have to say, I think the Nicky is thicker. The only thing I have noticed is the roll doesn't seem as tight as the cushelle and velvet. Need to check sheets per roll (how sad)! But the whole of the Nicky roll is actually thicker than the cushelle roll.

When we get the usual from Makro, they work out at 25p a roll give or take, so these are 3p a roll cheaper.

I buy velvet when they are on offer at Costc0, I too found that the Nicky ones were loosely wound, thought they were a bit of a false economy, but that's my opinion!

I only like the Nicky toilet rolls. Been using them for a few years now except last year when I couldn't get any and had to resort to Andrex. Now I stock up to make sure I don't run out again

Don't use too much of the thick stuff or it will block the drains up. Remember, 2 for a pee and 3 for a poo. :rotfl:
I buy my from a wholesaler, five years worth at a time. Cheaper that way. ;)

I like the Lidil Aloe Vera ones - make bathroom smell nice and are thick sheeted! Green flower type pattern - if you care! (Mind you bright neon green might be off putting I suppose) Do folks buy loo roll to match bathroom colours any more?? :) Anyway - £1.59 for 4 i.e just under 40p each - even better value as a re often on offer for £.1.39!!
