child flight tax rebate

My family and I, which included 2 children are going to Florida in April this year, we fly back 3rd May.

I see the tax rebate comes into effect from 1st may 2015. Does this mean I can at least get back the tax for the return flight?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

What richardw is saying (rather indirectly) is that APD is charged on flights departing the UK, so it only applies to your outbound flight. Any taxes on the return will be those applied by US authorities.

So, unfortunately, as you are not paying APD on the return, there is nothing to claim back.
