2 meters, what's the process on standing charges ?

I have 2 electricity meters but only one has been read and billed with a standing charge since 2008. The non read meter is using around 200 kw/h per week and I have put the money away each quarter but never billed. My question is can my power supplier bill me for 2 standing charges if i have 2 meters also ?

Welcome to the forum.
Are your two meters for a tariff like Economy 7 where you(should) pay for both off-peak and peak electricity?
If so you will only be charged a single Daily Standing Charge(DSC).
If the other meter is for a separate supply to another part of the house - then you can be charged for a second DSC.
Many people with two meters, and not on an Economy 7 tariff, can have the two meter readings aggregated e.g. if one meter reads, say, 2,000kWh and the other 5,000kWh, you will be charged for 7,000 kWh at a single rate.
P.S. how much money are you putting aside for a consumption of 200kWh a week?0 -
You have £9,000 set aside? Why not just contact your supplier and pay them?0
