Car Rust Problem

Can anyone advise on what rights you would have regarding rust on a 2013 car that was bought brand new from a main dealer?

The car has already been back once to the garage with the same problem. Rust on the boot and on the bottom of the doors.

Thank you

It depends on how the rust came to be there.
Did the garage say how it was caused / started?

    Is this a re-occurring problem?

What make of car is it and what does your warranty information say regarding the paintwork & corrosion?

New cars normally have an anti-perforation warranty for a number of years? What make and model is it?

It is a white Hyundai i10. It has happened before, it is spots of rust all over so it is not down to a scratch or any other damage.

It is actually my girlfriends car. She has had it back to garage for same problem and after a lot of feet stamping they agreed to sort out the problem. Obviously it has not been sorted properly.

I just wanted some clarification from somewhere as to what rights as I am going to go in this time and I like to have my facts straight before I get into any argument with the garage etc.

    Thank you

P.S - It has a 10 year anti corrosion warranty. But surely you can't be expected to keep returning to the garage every 6 months when more rust appears?!?!

The only way to properly cure rust is to cut it out..
