Can anyone point me in the right direction for some websites on driving to and holidaying in the Italian lakes with a dog and mountain biking husband
please? we thought about Stresa on lake Maggiore and then maybe Limone on Garda but we need lots of dog friendly walks and mountain bike trails and it is surprisingly difficult to find any decent information online (might have to buy a guide book!!!)
Many thanks in advance

Stresa you can walk along the lakeside easily.
Limone is small compared to Stresa, maybe consider Riva del Garda.
A quick Google found this.

Anyone actually done this trip (with dog, OH can sort the mountain biking out) I have read one online article that looked very good.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!0 -
Haven;t done these with a dog but the locals seem to be very dog friendly. Drove to Orta (small lake west of Maggiore) but back in the 80's so probably not that relevant now. Been to Sirmione (Garda) 4 times, well, Columbare which is at head of penninsula. Columbare is less "touristy" than other places, locals are greaat and often see dogs with owners drinking in the tavernas. Mountain biking is much better on north of Lake (Riva) as you can access the hills easier from that resort. Jack/Parson Russells seem to be the most popular breeds- or do I just notice one of my favourite breeds?
If I was driving to Italy I wouldn't hesitate to take my dog with me to any of the North Italian lakes.0
