Heard these advertise on LBC and thought I would give it a look. Not good.

I've heard their add a couple of years ago so they must gain a fair amount of business from the adverts to keep advertising.

I'm not sure how this stays on side with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations which specifically state a business or associate who miss lead a consumer by posting online pretending to be a satisfied consumer is against the law.

I know some of what they do is badger websites such as trip adviser and MSE etc etc to remove uncomplimentary posts where possible.

Ironically your thread will be on their radar on Monday thanks to google alerts, it will be interesting to see if there are any new posters singing their praises etc etc

Given that their website says "Control negative content", "Push up the good, push down the bad", this thread might be an interesting test of how well they actually do...!

What a disgraceful premise for a company, honestly. Try to fool the public into trusting the untrustworthy. Between them and the ECHR's Criminals' Charter (otherwise known as 'The Right To Be Forgotten') people will be getting screwed left, right and centre.

Good to see that The Better Business Bureau has accredited reputation.com:
A BBB Accredited Business since 03/30/2009

BBB has determined that Reputation.com Inc. meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.

This is the same BBB that says on their Mission & Vision page:
    Our Vision:

An ethical marketplace where buyers and sellers trust each other.
Their Mission statement is too long to quote in full, but here are a couple of snippets:
    Our Mission:

BBB ensures that high standards for trust are set and maintained. We exist so consumers and businesses alike have an unbiased source to guide them on matters of trust.

All BBB accredited businesses have agreed to live up to our Standards for Trust, a comprehensive set of best practices for how businesses should treat the public in a fair and honest manner.
That word trust keeps cropping up doesn't it? ;)
