  • Yes, the ts and cs have changed to reflect the extension.

"The Clubcard Fuel Save scheme will end on 31st May 2015 (with redemption of Clubcard Fuel Savings earned in May 2015 continuing until 30th June 2015). However, we reserve the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time before this date, without prior notice."

Looks like Tesco's Fuel Save scheme is finishing at the end of July :(

Bit of a downer for me as I usually get between 14 and 20p a month and always use it for a full tank of fuel so have been saving quite a bit on it.

Not sure i'll carry on shopping there much if it doesn't get extended.

I've always hated the fact that Tesco's seem to have the worst 'use by' dates of the big supermarkets when it comes to fresh fruit and veg and I seem to be getting a lot less money off Clubcard vouchers in the last few months so with the fuel save scheme being the main reason I shop there it may be time to try out another supermarket.

In mine a loaf of bread is £1.35, and has only 3 days on it, even if you burrow to the back of the shelf. Next door in B&M they sell the same bread @ £1 and it has 5 days on it.

So I get bread in B&M
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

You go by use by dates on fruit and veg? You pay extra for prepackaged? What are you doing on this site???!!!

Buy loose and feel the produce. Or feel the prepack from outside the packet. That will tell you how many days the produce has. If it's getting a little soft to the touch put it back and pick another one. Useby dates are there to make us throw good food away and buy new.

Unfortunately my local Tesco don't do things like cucumbers, rocket, watercress, salad, etc loose, it's all packaged.

Obviously I do buy things like apples, pears etc loose.

Also, the FSA specifically advise that 'Use By' dates should be adhered to even if the food looks OK(although I do tend to ignore them if they're only a day out).

Best before dates on the other hand are only advisory

My wife will throw stuff away the minute it passes the Use By date, but I go by the cook's method.

If it looks good, smells good and feels good, it's good.

    I haven't poisoned anyone yet!
