I Need A Hotel In San Francisco

Hi, i am looking for a suitable central hotel in SFO, i think walking distance of Fishermans Wharf would be good. They are all around $180 per room per night for the family.
I have found a 3 nights for the price of 2 in Los Angeles with Hyatt Regency Resort through TCsignature.com.
I am looking for a similar deal in San Francisco, ie a good hotel for less rather than a lesser hotel, anyone seen or know of any deals please.

We stayed at the Powell Hotel last August. It is very conveniently located - the cable car turn around is right outside the hotel!
We booked a quad room which turned out to be two interconnected rooms which was great. We got a good deal booking through octopustravel.com
Don't miss Alcatraz, its a good day out. Good idea to book ahead as it can be fully booked. Also we recommend taking one of the boat trips to the golden gate bridge - only about $10 each but you get a fantastic view sailing right underneath the bridge and back past Alcatraz. Catch one of these boats from Fishermans wharf.
Hope you have a great time - we certainly did!0 -
Stayed at the RADISSON last year when we stayed there. Nice hotel virtually opposite FW and a short walk to the Cable Cars. You can also collect BA Executive Club points with these.
You don't give dates and pax ut that is my suggestion.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0 -
We stayed at The Chancellor Hotel in Union Square. Highly recommended. http://www.chancellorhotel.com
Prices start at $125/night for a room in the summer.0 -
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Fishermans Wharf which is right in the middle of Fishermans Wharf.
As the other poster said make sure you pre book your Alcatraz tickets otherwise you may find that it will be sold out.0 -
Several threads on San Fran, one here and here.
I suggest you use Priceline to get a good hotel at a knock down price.
Stayed at Renaissance San Francisco Parc 55 Hotel for £47.00 per room per night
and Hilton San Francisco for about £44 per room per night.
The rooms are only guaranteed to accomodate two people though.
If you need help re PL just ask.0 -
Thanks everyone, unfortuantely blindmans came through too late. The Powell read really nice but didn't have larger rooms avaialable. I read the reviews of the hotels you mentioned on Tripadvisor.com and have i have booked the Radisson on Fishermans wharf.
I will definitely be booking Alcatraz this week though.0
