Premier Solicitors letter (PCN)

Hi guys,

hope I can get some answers. there are lots of information about PCN in here but unfortunately i am confused as i don't know if I should contact this Premier Solicitors?????? Really nervous

This morning I received letter from this solicitors which says that they are instructed by Total Parking Solutions of SATRA innovation Park to contact me (Letter before claim). They are basically claiming that I have been parked somewhere in Hounslow (Hospital Road Retail Park) and asking me to pay them £110 within 14 days. I CAN NOT RECALL BEEING IN THAT PLACE. They do have right name and car registration number. I did not receive any PCN by post or any sticker on my car for this place and time, although I did receive PCN from my local place(argos) for overstaying few month ago which i did ignore (I know that I should not ignore it).

My questions are:

1. can it be the same thing and solicitor made mistake if that is the case should I contact them and ask them to clarify?
2. if it turns out to be the same PCN, am I late to appeal? (i have 2-3 PCN for my local one which i ignored)
3. if it is the same PCN, do I make an appeal to solicitors or the company who issued the ticket???

Guys thank you for your advice in advance ,,,,,, thanks a lot.

  • Every correspondence you request from the solicitor costs the parking firm £40 a letter .
Write first and ask them what they are operating as, debt collectors under the CRA or solicitors under the SRA or debt collectors under the sra common licence as they have not made it clear, if you get no reply you will complain to the SRA for sending misleading letters and spurious demands for payment where they hold no credit agreement.
See how long it takes the parking firm to get fed up of paying £40 a pop.

Ask for a copy of the PCn as you have not had one. You will then appeal if appropriate

Also ask what proof they have of the vehicle actually being parked in that location.
Is it also TPS at the Argos you were ticketed at? It would be handy if they'd made a ballsup of your details.
  • Thank you guys, i am going to send letter tomorrow asking them to clarify all these points.

they gave me 14 days, hope it is not going to be late as i dont want to appear in court.

    Cheers for all the advice,

I think you need to stop worrying about 'court'. It's highly unlikely to happen - and it's not the High Court, it's not a criminal issue, it would be them saying, 'You owe us £x and these are our reasons' and you saying, 'No I don't, here's my reasons why not'. A Judge, sitting around a table with you will work through things and make a decision - there's no wigs, no gowns.

It's a civil, not criminal matter .... and no one's going to jail over this.

And if you want to know how litigious your PPC is, have a look here at the whole list of PPCs who've 'done court' in the latest 18-months record. Good luck finding TPS on it!
