Ipad will not charge. Itunes logo on screen.

Hi does anyone know anything about ipads? My ipad suddenly will not charge at the wall and a blue itunes logo and white charger keep appearing on the screen. When I connect the ipad to the laptop and go on itunes it tells me that the ipad needs restoring. When I click Ok it then says the ipad cannot be restored as it cannot be found. Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance.

I'd definitely try another cable as well.

I had this problem with an iPad and doing the recovery mode thing failed to fix it, but even though it displayed the same screen as yours, it still charged as normal.
