Mouse problem

Long story short.In non-technical terms.
Driver Booster 2 updated a whole load of drivers including I think one for the mouse.
Now the mouse wheel instead of paging up and down smoothly jumps a number of pages at a time.
I've been into control to amend the page numbers that it goes through to 1 but the problem is still there.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks

Roll back the mouse driver. Personally I would never run such a program.

    Me neither!

You can get the latest drivers from the hardware manufacturer/reseller of the PC or components. I'd uninstall any third-party driver updaters and manually download the drivers you need.

If you can't find the right one, what mouse do you have and which OS are you running?
  • Problem solved.
Used its system restore then uninstalled everything including the Advanced System Care it came with.
I quite like ASC for its clean-up abilities but I find it then starts slowing things down so I uninstall it again.
System and mouse running smoothly again.
    thanks for the help.

ASC looks like a registry cleaner...? Before Windows XP, it seemed to be necessary to "clean" the registry occasionally, although there was always the risk of the "cleaner" inadvertently removing or corrupting something important.

Since XP, I've found that registry cleaners aren't really necessary, and tend to cause more problems than they solve.

One thing that commonly causes "slow-downs" is having too many programs running on startup. If you go to Start/Run, type "msconfig", hit enter, and click the "Startup" tab, you can disable any un-needed stuff. There's a step-by-step guide here: http://www.netsquirrel.com/msconfig/
