    love that post so upbeat
and great to hear about all the changes that the meds helped you to make
DO go back to the docs - you obviously need the meds - I take a huge dose of ad and mood stabalizer and I am nowhere near where you are I still cant go out etc BUT I am slowly getting there - so reading about you has given me hope

if you dont go back to the docs can you phone them tomorrow and explain situation to nurse or duty doc who may just get a script for you
    Emergency fund £10,000
    Several categories with savings in
    Cars, house maintenance, birthdays
Etc I have about 10 categories

Really happy to be debt free after being a compulsive spender

I'm so glad my experience has made someone see that things do get better, it just does take time! I'm not "healed or cured" but I am soooo much better than I was. As my hubby says he has his wife back :o

We actually have to move Drs as we moved house. I called up about registering yesterday (see I am trying) so I just need to go pick up the forms and take some ID and get an appt booked. This WILL be done tomorrow

Good luck to you in your journey to feeling better. Best bit of advice I can give, be kind to yourself! If you're anything like me you'll feel guilty about being and feeling the way you do. It's an illness we can't help it. We've saught help and are doing the best we can, we rock just for doing that  Every day is a new day, a fresh start, a chance to feel better and make small steps towards gaining back confidence and the life we once had. We'll get there, it might be slow, but we'll get there! :grouphug:

So bit of a bombshell has been dropped. Hubby has noticed I'm feeling a bit poo again and said he'd rather I didn't work and feel well that work and go back to what I was. He would be happy to make my shortfall up with overtime. Whilst I love him dearly for this I actually do enjoy working and socialising again. Having said that, I think that it may be beneficial to cut down my hours, even if just temporarily. I've just number crunched and if I lose 1 shift a week I'll be worse off by £210 every 4 weeks. In saying that we will still have money left over for paying off debt/savings. Part of me wants to jump at this, the other part of me feels guilty and lazy. I feel like I should be working as much as possible to get the debt paid off and house deposit savings coming in. I feel like it's my fault that it may take an extra couple of years, but then th manic side pops up and says that anything can change, especially when teeny goes to school in 2016. I could get a daytime job and do more hours which would be easier to navigate around as all 3 would be in school. ARGH I'm just getting myself all in a tizz and
literally have a knot in my stomach thinking about it all. I'm so impatient and I have to learn to just settle down and live in here and now keeping an eye on the future but not letting the present slip away because I'm stressing about something that can't happen for another 3-4 years.

I have no idea if any of this makes any sense and apologies for my crazy ramblings I just need to write it all down and get it out. I'll probably feel very silly about all this tomorrow :o:o

ARGH I can't sleep now. All of the different scenarios and feelings are rushing around in my head and I feel like I'm on some mad adrenaline rush. I've managed to not take any sleeping pills for over 2 months now and I was very pleased but I think I'm going to have to give in and take some tonight. I'm absolutely shattered (mentally) and know I'm tired but I just can't seem to wind down.

I think I need to move to a tropical island where money has no place and everyone has their own little hut and area of land. A relaxed, chilled out and groovy lifestyle is definitely what's needed! Anyone fancy joining me?

  • Hi Fonz
After my second bubs I rushed back to work at 6 months. After nearly two years I finally realised what a big mistake it had been and speaking with DH we came to the conclusion I was better off at home for a while so I handed in my notice. Best thing I ever did. I spent the next nine months at home with our daughter - which meant DH was able to do a lot more work - he is self-employed and had been taking care of her while I worked then working when I got home. I then felt ready to tackle employment again and got a job I enjoy in a completely different field. Third time around I was able to take the full year off then work part-time and only now increasing my hours and that horrible desperate feeling has not returned.

If you can afford to take the monetary hit I would recommend taking that time for yourself. It really does make a difference. And get that appointment made !!!

Bubba #1 I went back when she was 4 months
Bubba #2 I went back when she was 7-8 weeks
Number 3 was meticulously planned and I was a stay at home mum before he was conceived. He's now 4 (well will be very soon) Went back to work summer of 2013 I had around 3 years off and as much as I love my kids it was saddened by the fact we had no. Money to do anything or take them out places,
Because I work nights I miss them full days, unless I manage to wake up long enough to see them just before their tea or bed. A day job sounds kinda nice ... Work when kids at school , spend time while we're all home together. It's just the reality of trying to find a job like that when you have no formal qualifications. .......ah thsleeping pills are kicking in and I'm making no sense so tomorrow shall. Be a new day, a fresh day, one to be used to its full advantage.

    Looking for new jobs perhaps

Have seen a franchise thing that looked ace and something I think I would thoroughly enjoy but the set up costs are about £7700 which is no pocket change, I've never looked into one before so don't really know what all th information will mean etc and if its accurate enough for it to be kosher. Oh I'm getting way ahead of myself right now and just need to settle. All will be grand when th morning comes!

Peace, love and prosperity to all! X

  • Morning x It is so so hard to leave the security of a paying job that works around the family for the unknown isn't it, I have done similar to yourself I have upped and lowered my hours to suit over the years with the kids growing up I have now got to the point that I want my weekends home with the family so although we are £50 down a week as I dropped a shift I have no claims on my time other than family life and that has changed my mood immensely. My youngest son is 8 eldest 2 28 and 26, and I worked right through fulltime with my eldest two and missed out on so much that my mental health has been bashed over the years through guilt with not being there alongside the debts. Luckily my hubby had promotion in work that makes up for my loss in pay so we have the same coming in but I still feel guilty in the way you do that we could be £200 better off a month. Could you pick a shift back up maybe after lowering your hours if you felt you needed too or couldn't find another job?? My job is quite informal so there is always overtime and shifts going so I would be able to if need be, but skint or not I am determined I am going to enjoy the summer with my youngest with no weekends !!!

As for the franchise type the company into the search forum on here no doubt there will be honest comments whatever the company x

Have a good day, sometimes we can't accept help from the people closest to us no matter how well meant it is eh. x
