Oh, hubby's just text saying that his bonus statement has come through and its over £400 :j well done that man! Plus he's done a couple of overtime shifts so that means an extra £650 (approx) minus tax and all of that palaver this month. :T Also have a weekend away at the end of the month. Inlaws have booked themselves a holiday and have asked if we'd like to join them just for the weekend which will be nice! We just need to pay for petrol and a little spending £ for while we're there. It's 2.5hours away so thinking £150 should cover everything and the leftovers can go towards the loan
It's also teeny's birthday at the end of the month. Have already bought his prezzies so don't have to worry about that. Just have to make him a cake.:DAmigo (49.9%) 24/01: [STRIKE]£2446.21 £2320.17 £1799.01 £1117.12 £775.30 £559.66 £435.21 [/STRIKE] £0

Mine older ones like getting clothes, even little ones does if it has the right character smothered over itIts fab though, DC is going away with the school and I'm planning on buying a capsule summer wardrobe for next birthday to take and also means DC will be set for summer given how fast this one seems to grow not much will fit from last year! Your coats sound like a great bargain :T
I love pinterest I haven't made much but there are a couple of things I want to try. I did do this word art thing for a friend but was worried she wouldn't like it but going to do them for myself as I love that sort of thingI always think its the thought that counts. Some of my favourite presents have been made or hand me downs that I still remember and cherish.

I love all the word art things. I made scrabble art for the MIL with the grandkids names and she seemed to really like it. I made one for us too and love it! There are so many cool ideas on Pinterest. I can easily lose hours trawling through it
The coats arrived yesterday and they're ace! They're tresspass 3in1 coats so will work for all seasons. Very pleased with that bargain!
I love the GAP sale for kids clothes. I seem to find more for boys than girls but I stock up when I spy that 75% off sign. Their jeans are great and at £4.90 a pair in the sale I won't complain :TAmigo (49.9%) 24/01: [STRIKE]£2446.21 £2320.17 £1799.01 £1117.12 £775.30 £559.66 £435.21 [/STRIKE] £0

Phone and Internet are locked in until August. We used to live out in the middle of nowhere and this was the cheapest package. When we moved we were mid contract so had to agree to keep with the same company for 2 years so as to avoid fees, which were around £150-£200  Will definitely have a beak about nearer renewal time and see if we can get it cheaper. We rarely use the house phone but like to keep it for emergencies.
Hubby lifts weights and is trying to gain mass so buys protein powder and other fat burning, "manly making" things. I won't even pretend to understand but we have spent hours trawling the Internet and this is the cheapest we've found. To be fair I have probably over budgeted as he doesn't buy everything every month but if he needs to that's what it would come to. I like to over estimate so I know we're safe.
Yes, I shop at A1di. I could get the shopping budget down to £350 quite easily I think, but again hubby eats LOADS so I like to over budget just in case. After Feb's pay I'm aiming to spend a max of £350 for that months food. I'm going to take it out in cash and hope that will help us stick to it. I just need to be more proactive and make healthy snacks etc instead of buying cr*p. Would be good to spend £300 so I may hide £50 and see how we get on with just the £300.
Haircuts, I cut hubby's hair and the 2 eldest. Teeny gets his done at the barbers every 2 months for a fiver so I don't feel we really need to budget for that. I get mine done maybe once a year and use overtime/bonuses. If we can't afford it, I don't get it done. .... And how ironic teeny has just told me this second that my hair looks like the road ... Maybe it's time to get it done again
CSA closed the claim as hubby's ex turned out to be a naughty little liar and benefit cheat  so we don't have to pay anymore as we grossly overpaid. If he needs anything he's old enough and comfortable enough to ask us himself and we get him it. His grandparents spoil him rotten and love to do so as well so he never goes without. He comes on holidays with us etc and is included in our food budgets etc.
Kinda thought you would have done all that already but you never know. We are the same with haircuts I think it saves a tidy sum. Although I stopped doing the little one when I cut it to short I was crying lol. Your little ones comment about your hair made me laugh, kids come out with the funniest things
I didn't mean to imply your DSC was missing out on anything just wondered if you'd forgotten it

The trespass coats are fab DC 2 & 3 have them, I thought they were a bargain at £18, good quality and really warm :T

Oh no, I didn't think you meant anything by th CSA thing. I just like to clarify incase people think we neglect him. My own paranoia!
Hubby used to cut teenies hair whenever I wasn't home and would butcher himhe has a mad mop of curls and he just didn't look like himself with no hair so I sneak him off to the barber anytime hubby mentions it might be time for another hair cut :rotfl:
I asked hubby about the broadband and he thinks it might have just been an 18month contract so we're going to phone up in a min and double check. If it was just 18months then we're probably near the end now which would be fab so thanks for mentioning that!Amigo (49.9%) 24/01: [STRIKE]£2446.21 £2320.17 £1799.01 £1117.12 £775.30 £559.66 £435.21 [/STRIKE] £0

Going to write my plans down for tomorrow in the hopes it will spurr me on to actually do them
Change all the beds (tidy our room too as its getting a bit cluttered again)
Make and freeze some meatballs and a homemade sauce (if I have any tinned toms left)
Clean the kitchen
Take the pooch for a walk
Bung a load or 2 of washing on (down to the last washing basket :T)
Will be tackling those letters about the credit files too :money:
Well bit of a fail yesterdayI managed to change all the beds, clean the kitchen and tackled all the washing (including the bedding) so although not everything on the list got done I did do a tonne of washing ... Oh and made sure th kiddos rooms were tidied PROPERLY!
Hubby's off today so we'll take the pooch out for a long walk later on, meatballs will be made and I'm determined to get these blinking letters done. Will also sweet talk hubby into putting our canvases back on the wall now the wallpaper will be well and truly dry!

Well the NSD kinda went out of the window but to be fair everything spent has been out of budgets already set aside.
Did a little top up shop as we had run out of milk and bread and were running low on fruit etc.
Spied a Disney princess Belle dress up costume reduced from £15 to £8 and a cool onesie reduced from £12 to £4 both in middleys size so snapped them up for her birthday. Didn't realise until I had got home that the checkout lady had forgotten to scan the onesie. She'd taken the electronic tag off but hadn't scanned it so I got it for free! :j
Managed to get a lot of yellow stickered bargains! Smoked salmon reduced from £4.80 to 48p!! Grabbed a couple packs and have popped them in the freezer along with a couple packs of posh steak sausages reduced to 98p. 4 pack of liberte yogs for 44p and 4 pack kiddies fruit corners for 48p. I love a bargain!
Also treated myself to a Davina fitness DVD in hopes that I can shed 4 stone of unwanted flabbiness, one can but dream

Some great bargains for bday and groceries, love it when the yellow stickered stuff has had its final reduction. Hard to come by now but great when happens

I love Asda at around 8pm for getting all the bread stuff at 10p. Haven't done that for a while because of when I was working. No excuse now that I've swapped shifts
Got up and did my new Davina DVD straight away. Trying to start as I mean to go on, can't believe how unfit I am  Actually quite embarrassed and disgusted with myself. This time last year I was 2 stone lighter than I am now and was losing weight steadily, then I just let it all goI'm the biggest I've ever been and just feel yuk! Whilst saving £'s I really want to lose some lbs! Feeling in the zone right now so want to keep that momentum going!
Going to write a meal plan for the next wee while as back to work tonight. Hubby's working nightshift all weekend too so need to be organised!
About to have a bowl of porridge then take the pooch for a walk with hubs and teeny. After that will get the meal plan and prep done and then head off to bed after teeny's gone to nursery.
Oh! I actually got round to printing off the letters to sort out our credit files. Have to buy a discharge certificate so that will have to wait until pay day but at least they're all ready to go! Also printed off forms to claim back uniform washing costs. I know it won't be much but hey, every penny helps!Amigo (49.9%) 24/01: [STRIKE]£2446.21 £2320.17 £1799.01 £1117.12 £775.30 £559.66 £435.21 [/STRIKE] £0
