N-power hell. Advice needed!

  • N Power hell sums them up. Mine is a different thing, we are now with the ombudsman as we haven't had a correct bill since April 2014. My question to the experts is, once you are with the ombudsman, should N Power be calling you and trying to settle by trying to bypass the ombudsman. The ombudsman told us not to speak to N Power, and N Power told us they shouldn't be saying that to us. Who is correct?
    Any thoughts.

If you have followed the correct process npower should have had 8 weeks to address your complaint before it went to the Ombudsman. I can imagine the Ombudsman want the case to remain in a stable state while they consider it so I can see why they want you to leave it to them.

However there is probably nothing stopping npower trying to reach an agreement with you meantime if you are happy with this.

Personally I would not enter into any negotiation with npower at this stage. But if they make you a very good offer you could either accept it or show it to the Ombudsman, who would probably at least match that offer in their decision, especially if they were unhappy that npower made such an offer.
