  • NSD #10 bagged here. I've only just got in from work so that helps! But no need for any shopping today of any kind. It's going to be tight but I might make target if OH pays for takeaway on Friday (or I don't count Saturday cos it's my birthday!)

NSD 19/20 for me! One day to go!! Unofficially hubby has been doing this, last month he gave up pretty quick and then this month he decided to try again as he was impressed I'm no longer hovering around my overdraft, he has done very well and is unofficially on 18/20! And for once he is not in his overdraft and its not long till pay day, he cannot believe how much of a difference it has made and I'm chuffed that without nagging him he has taken more control over his spending! Double win!

    Wow,that is good news! :j

    :hello:

Hi there all, sorry I haven't made it in much but doing day shifts really threw me out :o

Trouble is with getting overtime in the week meant I missed the free parking spaces and had to pay parking on Weds, Thurs and Fri

Couldn't you mark the parking fares down as essential, meaning they don't count? After all,you had no choice.

  • scotmumof3 This is the recipe I used for the fruit slice.I couldn't find one in my baking books.

I've made it twice (with my Mum.The first time I had a cold so was in no state to be handling pastry! When she comes to visit,we always bake something and often try a new recipe),and each time it's been delicious. The pastry is firm but has a wonderful 'melt in the mouth' quality. It even freezes well.Well worth the effort, even though adding the second layer of pastry is not the easiest thing. You can't get fruit slice here, and I really miss it.

I hope your OH's biopsy went well.I know how difficult the waiting can be.I hope that the time passes quickly for both of you.Sending you a big (((hug))) if that's ok. :)
