Afternoon all
DGD is here and so lots of crafting (mess)is going on.
I dropped hubby at work this morning, then gave DD a lift to work, then back home to start the DW & WM, they've been unloaded, reloaded & restarted.
Turkey LO from Christmas is defrosting in the kitchen, it will do sarnies this evening, roast dinner tomorrow & then turkey supreme for hubby's lunch one day next week.
It's taken me a couple of hours to type this courtesy of DGD, so I better make a start on tidying up.
Have a good day everyone.

Made DH two rashers, fried mushrooms and tomato and French toast for breakfast then managed to strip our bed and get bedding washed while I had a nice peaceful shower and shampoo - bliss.:j
Have pie and peas for lunch and making turnip and tattie mash with sausages and gravy for tonight. Walked down to supermarket and got a load of YS items, two packs of lamb mince, small gammon joint, fish pie mix and some breaded plaice - all of which is now being
frozen except for gammon which is bubbling away on the hob.
I read an article which tells you what is in formed ham slices and it made me decide to cook my own and slice it thinly once it cools.
Parcel has arrived which looks like drawer dividers so might be able to Kondo some of a chest of drawers in the next couple of days. Need to think about getting my hair cut as well as I am starting to look eccentric

Hello everyone,
Had a late start this morning due to DS waking us up at 3.30am as he couldn't find his keys to get in the house.
Nice bright sunny day today, so put 2 loads out on the line, had a blow and will finish off on the airers.
Once I got going have done loads. Chilli in the s/c for dinner and have baked a loaf of bread, made upside down pineapple cake for pud, and made a chocolate sponge (just need to fill it).
I have also cleaned the whole of downstairs, just upstairs to do tomorrow.
Large pile of ironing to do this evening from earlier in the week, as will have loads more tomorrow:eek:
Have a good evening everyone and stay warm.SPC 11 #4450 -
Evening all,
Trying tocut down on fattening food....not very mobile so cant do much in the exercise line, biggest problem is OH, who has been wonderful at cooking since I, ve been incapacitated, trouble is this morning he did me 2 toasted sandwiches...lovely but I decided that best thing for me would beto just have a bowl of hm soup for dinner.....what does he do? Cook sausages, lamb chop, peppers and onions....I ate it as he would have been so offended if I didnt. I cant even get mad with him as he means to help, but going mad as he knows that I need to cut back.
Csarina....poor OH, he really must have stepped out of line to be so long in the dog house....let him out, im sure he will be a good boy now!
I have spent the day feeling frozen, even witha blanket around me, meant to go out for a short walk but just couldnt think of it. Feeling a bit warmer now, will go to bed early and hope to sleep the cold off, although I havent been sleeping very well lately.....probably because I still have to sleep on my back.
Wicked lady...that tamarind duck sounds wonderful, might see if I can get it one evening.
Bought MariKondo book, not finished reading it yer, will have toget OH tobring down clothes from top shelves of our wardrobe, I know that he has dozens of ties ( maybe even his wedding one from 1970!), vests, shirts sweaters and socks that he never wears, so that should be fun.
Need to get Mossie out for a run before bed and sort myself out witha couple of painkillers, as I have a problem with my coccyx, which is not very comfortable.
Sleep well and stay safe, enjoy your weekend
