My vehicle is fine so I only care about
-making sure that TP fixes their car
-and in case they go for PI (Which i dont think they will as they have behaved impecably) then that the insurance will cover us.

Have received a quote from the TP which we are can settle privately but I am too stressed about PI in the future.

If you can trust the third party not to mention the incident to their own insurers ever, never to claim injury and if they will sign a document saying you settle their claim in the sum of £....., without admission of liability, in full & final settlement of all possible claims arising out of the accident on --/--/-- then you may be able to keep it off the radar.

All of the above is of course against the terms of your insurance and I couldn't possibly condone such actions.

so if i go through privately, i have the above risks and issues.

if i go through insurance, then i might have to pay the full sum (OK) and my premium will rise (not so OK but expected).
In the second solution, will the insurance add anything besides the TP quote?
