Make your mind up. A couple of posts ago you seemed to agree that as the repair (within the 6 month period) had not fixed the fault then the seller was still liable.
WRONG, i just stated that if the charge port was attached to MB then if fault is still their then it is very unlikely they changed the MB.

Ignoring the rest of my post then?
Totally acceptable to lie to a customer (if your technical knowledge is correct and they haven't undertaken the work they claim to have done), return it and wash their hands of it.
To repeat. You have a great attitude :T0 -
So am I to take it that, because it was sent for repair before the 6 months was up, and they did not actually fix the problem, that I can request it be fixed properly at no charge then?
To solve the argument I asked them if the charging port was part of the motherboard and they said no. So I have no idea why they actually changed the motherboard to fix an issue with it not charging when I specifically stated that i though it was the charging port at fault. *shrugs* Oh well so long as i can get my repair, or a refund I a not too fussed either way, I just don't want to be stuck with a broken laptop that I did not break.0 -

If you notified them of the fault before 6 months. Which you did.
And they received the item for repair and didn't fix it. Which they did.
Then you are due a resolution at no repair cost to you. Which they should give you.0 -

Provided that they don't claim that the fault was due to misuse which is something that is claimed a lot for charging port faults.
I know that legally they have to prove this rather than simply stating user damage, but if they went down that road, I'm sure that they could a report from their repair workshop stating this.0 -

That's true, although the acceptance of the item previously and a repair which they said fixed it would indicate the chance of it being user damage is limited, otherwise they should have indicated so before repairing the last time.0
