Energy use calculation spreadsheet

I wish there was a way that I could attach a spreadsheet to a post on this forum. I've just read a thread written by a new member who does not know how to calculate her energy use/cost and therefore cannot challenge her direct debit. Is there a way? Any thoughts?
(I am assuming this member is female because the username suggests it and I just cannot use the incorrect "their" rather than "his" or "her", okay I'm an English pedant.)

You don't need a spreadsheet. If he/she goes to a comparison website like www.energyhelpline.com and enters their annual consumption in kWh it will give the cost with all details.
The problem with most people who want to challenge their Direct Debit is they don't know their consumption, often their meter readings are estimated, and they don't know their true credit/debit balance.
Also, with respect, if many of the people on here who have difficulty working out their gas/electricity bill were told to use a spreadsheet , they would run a mile!0
