Boiler Quote

I have received a quote to remove the existing boiler and replace it with a new combi boiler in the loft (current boiler is in master bedroom) I will be getting all the parts so the quote for labour is £1430.00 + £286 for vat which is £1716 total.

Does this sound about right?

At first glance it does seem very high, given that it's just for labour. However, you don't say how far the master bedroom is fro the loft so without knowing the exact layout of the house it's difficult to say for sure. Also, with the boiler going in the loft, this means the flue will need to exit the property either through the roof or the gable end, this could mean scaffolding, is this included in the quote?

Hi, we move threads if we think they’ll get more help elsewhere (please read the forum rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board. If you have any questions about this policy please email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.

I’ve moved your thread from the ‘In my home’ board to the ‘Is This Quote Fair?’ board, where it is better suited.

    Regards
