How can you stop someone using your address?

I bought my house May 2012. For a few months afterwards, I had many debt collectors and letters coming for the previous owner. It was easy to deal with because I could prove that I had just bought the house.
Roll on 18 months. I started to get bailiff letters from Pay Day lenders (one's I had never heard of). I rang the companies and all the loans had been taken out November 2013 at my address. I then got Vodaphone demands too. These were really difficult to deal with. I rang the police but they said she hadn't committed a crime against me but against the lenders (fraud) and frankly there was nothing I could do.
I managed to get her new address and I gave all these companies her new address .
Today, I've received a Vitality magazine for her - I think she's used my address for one of her scams.
What can I do to get her to stop? Will a Cease and Desist do? There is no law to protect me from this, so I'm a bit annoyed.

Write "Not known at this address. Return to sender," on all post you get addressed to her.0

You could try registering on here http://www.mpsonline.org.uk If she is still using that address though it might not help stop it completely.MFW OP's 2017 #101 £829.32/£5000

Have you made absolutely sure her name is not still on the electoral roll?
You could try ringing CIFAS and seeing if there is anything they can do?
I still get mail for the person whose house I bought; although he's not trying anything on as he has been dead 20 years. I have told the clubs he supported that he is a deceased supporter. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Whilst it isn't your problem, it is a bit painful to have people knocking at the door. Personally, I'd just put any post back in the post box with RETURNED TO SENDER NOT at THIS address written on it, and keep my Passport and proof of when you moved in handy. I certainly wouldn't be phoning anyone. YOU didn't take the loans or agreements out, so not for you to sort out. Don't waste time talking to them. If a baliff comes, then you have a forwarding address.
A person unknown to me, did a "Fly by Night" from another address, and she must have looked in the Phone book and found someone with the same initials, and told all her creditors she'd moved here. I'm Mark, and she was Mary) I mistakenly opened a court summons firstly, so that was the only one I did any leg work on. The rest go return to sender now.0 -
I've had a similar situation whereby the previous owners of my property did not let certain companies know that they had moved and they obviously owed money. I've had bailiff visits and still receive letters addressed to previous owners, I've been here for over 2 1/2 years. Bailiffs were quite happy with the proof I provided with who I was though they did say that credit was still being obained against my property by the previous owners and I may get more visits from them. I checked with the council to ensure that they are no longer listed on the electoral roll and I send all letters back to sender, also registered their name with mpsonline but this generally only deals with junk mail. I've been told there is not much else I can do about it.0

I do wonder, there should be some way of telling companies like Experian, Equifax and CallCredit that someone no-longer lives at an address, and giving them proof, so they can provide this information to anyone who does a search at that address.Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.0

The council here give me a big green bin to put any letters in not addressed to me.
Works a treat, open lid, drop in letter, close lid.
Job done.
Time taken, seconds.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
