Bank charges when I was in financial hardship, can I reclaim?

Hi all,
I was in significant financial hardship a number of years aago (particularly around 2008-2011) and I had a significant number of bank charges around that time.
I have none of the details about these accounts- I basically managed to dig myself out of the hardship and I'm now much more stable financially and almost out of the debts I accrued back then.
My questions are as follows:
Can I write to banks without an account number and ask that they release information to me on any accounts I held? (I remember roughly where I banked around the time I was getting overdraft charges etc).
Would it be possible to make a reclaim on grounds of financial hardship, even though I'm no longer in such a bad state? I haven't defaulted on anything for around 2 years now, but prior to that I was getting regular charges and I was in a pretty dire cycle of bank charges putting me over my limit resulting in more charges being applied.
At least two of the accounts I was getting charged on were my "business" accounts- I was a sole trader and these were just sole trader accounts. Does claiming back from a sole trader account work along the same way as from a personal current account?
Thank you,
Jezza

Sorry but you cant claim historically.
You could only claim if you were in hardship now.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Yes, it will cost you £10 per bank and some of the documentation may no longer exist (especially if the account is now closed)Would it be possible to make a reclaim on grounds of financial hardship, even though I'm no longer in such a bad state?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Ah thank you for the info, I thought it was worth a try perhaps
It's a shame I cannot claim for historic financial hardship, the bank charge cycle I was caught in cost me thousands and put me through considerable stress and depression... A lesson learned at least!0
