I’ve just been checking my house insurance before we go away next week and it stipulates if we leave the house unoccupied between November and March we can either drain all water, domestic and central heating, or set the heating system to maintain a continuous minimum temperature of 14C. The plumbers recommend 5 – 7C. Something else designed to catch me out?
