parking eye fine :(

Hi, I hope this is in the right place, I have just received a fine in the post this morning, saying i now need to pay a 70pound fine! Apparently I was shopping at Aldi on the 6th of December 2014 at 15.23 .. it has no time stated how long I am supposed to of over stayed for, and I never had any fine on my windscreen, or any other letter in the post, just this letter and fine that has turned up out the blue!

What is the best way to deal with this please? I tried ringing the number that is on the letter, but it is an automated pay line, I don't have any intention of paying, so that is no use .. any help would be hugely appreciated ... thankyou

Its not a fine, it's an invoice. Post this in the dedicated Parking Ticket forum if you want advice.

Whatever you do, DO NOT PHONE THEM, any communication needs to be in writing (email or letter).

PS - it is NOT a FINE.

Thanks for quick replies, sorry i posted in the wrong place .. i just wanted to rant and vent .. just to let you know, i went to aldi and the manager is dealing with it and cancelling it .. hopefully!! x

Still, get yourself in there and read the Newbies Sticky so you re prepared/informed. Don't rely on just the manager's word, unless you get it in writing too - Aldi have form for being a bit shifty when it comes to their PPCs - see the busy and longstanding Aldi Parking/Facebook thread in there!
