Defaults on the same account

Good afternoon all,
I was just hoping for a bit of advise really. Hoping someone can help.
Around about January 2012 I owed Orange some money but I got ill and lost my job and went abroad for a while so I couldn't pay this back. I know, we all make mistakes etc. So they then put a default on my Credit File.
They then sold this debt on to Scotcall (I think) where I then agreed to pay it back £20.00 a month to which I paid the first payment off. But then I tried paying off the £20.00 a month later. I could not log into their website or get in touch with them. And then again I went abroad so I could not pay this back again.
So then they sold the Debt on to Lowells around October 2014 (I was still abroad). So I couldn't reply because I never got the letters.
So I then check my credit report with Experian to which Orange had deleted my whole information including payments and defaults. Then Lowells then put a default on my account in November 2014.
Is this allowed? I now have a default on my account which will kick start the 6 years again. Or can I query this saying the original account was back in 2012.
Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

Any default added by Lowells MUST be the same date as the original from Orange.
If it's not then you need to complain telling them that you report them to the ICO etc for recording false and inaccurate information.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Thanks for that. Do you think they will get rid of the default or put it back to 2012?
Many thanks,0 -
