Old vinyl records from 60-70, any value?

I have about 50 old vinyl records from 60s and 70s, all classical music composers, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc. Does it have any value or should I just chuck them in the bin?

Look on ebay and check yourself - they could be worth lots of money, or they could be worth nothing, but on the limited amount of information you've given here, it's impossible to say.

I tried to sell old LPs and e-mailed a few websites who say they will buy old LPs. They aren't interested unless they are rare. I did find a few websites that only buy classical music LP's. I can't remember their names but if you so a Google search you should be able to find them.

There also is http://www.discogs.com/ which seems similar to Ebay. Going to give this a go for mine.

A few years back when my dad was first taken ill I ended up having to clear his house and that included hundreds and hundreds of LPs. I tried several of the places that offer to buy them, I didn't even get any responses. I sold a few for 10p at a car boot and still have box loads in storage (for which I am paying a fortune). The rest I ended up throwing in a skip . Oh, and I did start getting a box load out of storage every now and then and checked them on ebay- and have sold one for less than £1 after fees...:(

I collect vinyl and have a record player on my sound system to play my less rare ones, and I love classical music so I'd probably buy if I saw some on eBay but I fear I'm in the minority. Your best bet probably would be car boot sales or maybe the website given above.

You make flowerpots from them! Hot water or in the oven for 3 seconds then fold over a can or jar....

Some classical music is worth a fortune BUT it has to be in Near Mint condition and most classical collectors are the most anal-retentive people on Earth.
