Moved from WRAG to Support...Help

Hiya,

I claimed Incap Benefit at long term rate and was one of the last people to change over to ESA. I had my medical last autumn and was put into the WRAG group which was expected.

I received a letter today telling me I have been moved into the support group and I will be getting £115 a week.

I think I got about £104 a week on Incap. I phoned my local office and asked was it correct that I had been moved as I hadn't filled in any forms or attended any appointment so no idea why they decided to move me over.

Anyway the man I spoke to said the doctors decide who moves and who doesn't. Which doesn't make any sense to me if they haven't any new information to work on.

My question is this, seeing as they have no new information and have moved me, can I ask for any difference in money to get paid back to me from my original moved from Incap to ESA, or indeed is they any difference in the money.

Not very good with benefits, so not sure what other info I should tell you, but please feel free to ask any questions...xx
;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

I'm not sure on the circumstances of your claim but if you are entitled to Income Related ESA (dependant on other income/savings) contact Jobcentre Plus and request an ESA3 form to enable you to apply for the top up (Enhanced Disability Premium) and make your money up to £123.70pw.

This will then entitle you to free prescriptions and possibly extra HB/CTS if applicable.
Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.
