PCN Notice

Hello Everyone

I got a PCN on my windowscreen while picking something up on a retail park, we have A blue badge and we was parked in the disabled space were not sure how it happened but the badge slip off the dash onto the car floor, I panicked a little bit and sent them a appeal letter and recorded it, and after reading some of the forums we think, we made a big mistake sending an appeal letter, we recently received a letter from them saying that the 21 day appeal time had past and we would have to pay in full there was no mention of the appeal letter we sent, have we no options but to pay, any help or advice would be greatly appreiated.

    Don't pay it!!

Who was the parking company? What was the date of the parking event?

If there was no mention of the appeal then they are effectively "claiming" they didnt get it - did you send it recorded? Not the best thing to do, as the nasty gits can easily refuse to sign for it - getting a proof of posting from the PO is recommended here.

Are you for real? WHY do you think your only option is to pay? You have appealed - they haven't responded.

Complain to their ATA (BPA or IPC - I'm not sure who they are with, but the relevant logo will be on the PCN) that you have appealed a PCN (and have proof that it was received) yet the company have ignored the appeal and are chasing the alleged debt.
  • thanks for the reply, I looked at the forum for newbies but there was so much information to take in I got confused and lately it doesnt take much, so I didnt know which was revelent to me, and I thought you had to have a letter of rejection form them before you could complain IPC and BPA.

What was the date of the actual parking 'contravention'?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
