Quick question - Hepatitus B jabs - has anyone had these - we seem to think its a series of jabs. Anything to worry about - anyone had any reactions?

About twelve years ago I was off to 'exotic places':) and had pretty much the full set of jabs - hepatitis, typhoid, tetanus (booster) plus polio booster, and had no problems.

I have to have HepB jabs as I work in operating theatres. It is a 3 dose course, 1 month apart, and then a booster every 5 years thereafter.

that's interesting I had a course years ago but have been told I need another , there was no mention of a booster, I have them because I have dialysis , booster would be easier:o
On my International Travel Vaccination Record booklet it says for Hepatitis that Dose 1 is effective for approx 12 months, booster due date 6-12 months; and Booster effective for up to 10 years.
But the booklet is 12+ years old now, so that information may be out of date. Your GP or health centre will be able to advise.

  • I agree with you, I dislike insurance companies, mr monkey changed jobs last year he was already a driver on my policy but needed a vehicle of his own. When it came to his insurance although they agreed to transfere no claims to a policy of his own with the same insurance company my policy had to change with his new job title then my premium went up by £55 because his employment title changed:mad: So although he does less travel, his job title changed which they deemed worthy of more travel which bumped up the premium.
Get ordained online for free as a religious minister - try that as the job title and watch the premiums plummet:rotfl:
    (I am joking, of course)

    thanks for asking

weather was warm but overcast for 6/7 days :(

but everything else was great. it was my 15th cruise and its the 1st time I actually done a standing ovation. the entertainment performers were absolutely great. I thought I would get fed up with them as they were on 6/7 nights. but they got better each time.
cruise was with Thomson who are lower prices than other companies I use.
