There's the possibility of a small glitch on Green Giant Organic Salt Free Sweetcorn (150g) on Wednesday morning between midnight and 6am. Currently 74p straight. May be due to go onto 4 for £2. Vs 65p at T or W. (M 79p:eek:.) Hope T/W are still on 65p on Tuesday afternoon. If this comes on, I think it would make 4 of them about 34.5p each.:eek:That's extremely dear! S/P Sweetcorn tins are 35p for more than twice as much and even they aren't the best price I've ever seen on Sweetcorn, so avoid:rotfl:.
I know - "Organic". I have no truck with that and think that organic produce is either exactly the same health benefit as non-organic or that, if anything, organic is probably more unsafe - but that's just a personal opinion. I wouldn't surprise me if a generally-held view (that I perceive exists) that organic was better and justified a mark-up turned out to be completely wrong:rotfl:. I know - "Salt-free". Probably a bit like "Fat-free" that still turns out to contain x% fat. I doubt that there's too much salt on sweetcorn as eaten - much would probably be drained away with the water anyway - and, if there is, I don't think it's going to cause too much harm to most people. So, I've no truck with the "Salt free" aspect either.
I actually caught up with just the second part of the "Eat Well for Less" BBC programme - and, like that other programme that told us that the amount of fat in branded ice cream was huge and that the Value one actually contained less(:rotfl:) - much to my expectation that the more expensive brand would actually be worse in the level of fat - and I noticed that the top brand bolognese sauce had a huge amount of sugar in it - about six and a half tablespoons I think:eek:, whilst the Value stuff had just one.
As for "Green Giant", it's a brand!;)
As mentioned on here earlier, the woman was buying packs of carrot batons because she didn't want to spend time cutting them up! And...what's wrong with just sliced carrots, why do you have to cut them into baton shape? The programme was wrong of course - as it suggested a change from expensive Baton Carrots packs to loose carrots as cheaper. While loose carrots, ordinarily, are cheaper than the packs of baron carrots (and the loose carrots last longer because they haven't been washed), at 75p/kg:eek::eek: loose carrots are quite expensive!
My guide price on Carrots is 42p/kg:rotfl:. We aren't quite getting that amount at the moment - however the 1Kg Carrots packs [Strike]Avs S at 55p[/Strike], no it's a change again:mad: - the Wood Farm Carrots packs 1kg in Aldi at 49p - or maybe:D, the 1.2Kg Carrots packs Morrisons vs Aldi:rotfl::rotfl:- come close to that. I bet the M won't work btw. Or, hopefully, the T Eday Value 1Kg carrots - T 53p vs M 45p. They could say non-comp though as M's are different shapes and sizes.
The programme I felt were also wrong to suggest that you can't get cheap Carrot Batons packs. The last pack I got, on the date of their 'use by' were a small pack at 5p! So, sometimes, whoopsied baton carrots packs can be a cheaper way. I think the pack was so small it probably turned out to cost more than the 1Kg carrots by weight price, but still probably cheaper than the loose carrots, by weight. I needed it to spend an APG as the boogers had an item at a few pence cheaper than my APG and didn't want to have a 10p item to exceed it quite a bit!:rotfl: Would have preferred a 2p bread at the end of the day, but the whoopsied 5p carrots was the best I could manage.
The M list has been updated - I suspect none of the new 50p items for M will be picked up by either the APG or T PP. Nor will the Blue Plasters on T PP. I think no-one bothers to see my list and no-one wants to do any comps vs M these days, possibly I've caused that due to myself being so cautious and expecting nothing to work. I suspect neither the APG nor T PP will ever do things properly, and I don't think Mvs Aldi or Lidl could ever get 100% correct price matching either. I don't think any of the manual collections work and, as regards vs M, may not just be due to the collectors but due to various M stores not always showing actual prices - that's if they have had labels for new offers delivered at all.
Sorry if it feels so down:rotfl:. It looks a fantastic set of new price comparisons - just that this time, all the new ones, I think they're not going to pick up. Could surprise me:rotfl:.0 -

No, that's actually more to do with the possible Wed.morning glitch than about M! I'm fed up writing about M - just too much to do! (:idea:Does that mean it may be a favourable glitchy price collection? That said, we are sadly leaving behind I think a glitchy one, where I reckon they picked up the 500g Cooking Bacon at 81p in M as being 300g and then adjusted to the weight of the Smoked Bacon product in A = 84p (rounded down) - I don't expect it to happen again, but you never know!) So, as there's been a lot, I've just been doing the list - there's been additional info. (not on the list) that's been obtained this time, in the event of any mbuy changes after tomorrow night.
Welcome back btw!
Someone should remind me (if I'm even here tomorrow night) to go back to my details from today for the purposes of the A price changings.0
