Good afternoon all - and a Happy Birthday to Neosi.

Aldi festive tealights (were £1.99) now 29p/pack and large candles in glass pot (which were £3.99 before Christmas) are now 49p - winter white, vanilla cookie or spiced orange scent.

Also upload your aldi receipt to COS for another 25p cashback - or at least it's there on my COS - last day :)

I am wondering if M points are slow today...I did a wine shop earlier but not in my usual M shop...receipt all ok and points say they have been earnt but when logging in to website it says I earnt 0 points in my shop today...
One to keep an eye on I think that may get queried later in the week if the points dont appear.

I've had points take 3 days to show online :(

What wine did you get? I found Hardys red in our store yesterday but I don't think it was the correct one - also do you just need to buy 2 bottles as we did previously?

    Afternoon all :)

Unfortunately sister not listening to any advice we're offering. They are prepping to move to Hemel Hempstead where he lives and works. The plan was for her to get another job in optics but in the Hemel/St Albans area before moving to their own place. They have some money saved already and planned to live with his parents for about 6 months whilst my sis settled into a new job/they house hunted.

Apparently they can't stand living under this (free) roof for 6 months because of his sister. Don't get me wrong, she sounds like a nightmare (not abusive or anything like that) but I cannot explain that trying to make the best of this admittedly irritating situation for a short period of time is better than spending at least 12 grand renting for 6 months. That's 12 thousand pounds that could be on hand for solicitors fees/surveys etc etc. She is determined not to listen to two people who have saved for their own place and have experience. And no matter how much I tell her that 6 months is the blink of an eye and 12 grand is a lot of money......they could even be renting for longer if house hunting falls through or proves difficult.

But I'm done! I don't get it. I'd listen to my parents if I was about to get a mortgage. All I would do is listen to them! They've done it and I haven't! :)

    Its difficult isn't it.

If they do end up living anywhere near St Albans they will never save enough money for a deposit. My eldest and her bf are in that life/work trap now - earning good enough money but the cost of commuting and rent of nearly a thousand a month plus bills means they have nothing left by week 3 in the month

Good afternoon - no mention of T 1p chocolates today, have they ended or have people have got what they want/need/could find?

Was just wondering before heading out of my way to check my local store for some different options.

    Many thanks

Still working, managed to get a few boxes of lily Obriens petite indulgence selection today. And left some on the shelf.
