Just had a weird APG thing... though when is the APG not acting weird :rotfl::money:
I cannot remember if I had previously looked at the comparison (I'm sure I had), but I definitely had not clicked 'get voucher' yet.
I now have 2 pringle APGs that I thought would had expired, both from receipts dated 8th Dec and both valid until 4th March
So, Am I correct thinking you can claim the voucher any time as long as you first viewed the comparison within the 28 days ?
Hi Munqui, I hope you are well, I noticed this by mistake when I forgot to print one off for the 22nd Dec, I did it at the end January and it was fine. since this point I have printed a few way after the 28th day after checking the receipt and it seems to be ok.Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.0 -

I think savvy posted these likely to end mid-day Monday
Did you consult the list
(I never consult the list but don't tell savvy :shhh: :rotfl:)
:rotfl::rotfl:
Probably by midday on Tuesday in fact. They worked when I bought another one on my shop on Monday - a fact I knew full well. The offer had already ended in M, but continues on the first day of expiry in M on the APG until the APG is updated (which isn't the same day as the price collection). £3.25 is the correct price in Morries for these 24 pack - you're lucky that they aren't even higher:eek:! It's now the 42 pack continuing on offer in M at £3, but that isn't as good - I mentioned all of this earlier. S is £3 on the 42 pack.
Right, :hello:. I've updated the M list again - in fact I finished over an hour ago - I don't know how I do it:D! (Whether anyone ever looks at it or not:o - and I also added a few earlier onto the Mvs A list - did anyone see those? - but now a day old so you'll need to check that a.com's prices haven't changed since.)
As usual (although it's not - it's just me being melodramatic;)), the best items have gone mysteriously OOS in A on msm, so no 10%:(. Well, Mr A, it makes them easier just to buy in M:p. I've used different stores to the ones on Monday, so I have a different matrix of items today. However, as was the aim, it provided confirmation of the prices for me, though sadly not for either the APG or T PP. I've used the main city store today btw, rather than the main store in the town within driving distance. Totally uninteresting:rotfl: - right:
I found several boxes of plasters with SELs of 95p and then, in my only store that stocks it, the Blue Plasters had a mysterious no SEL at all. So - no SEL means it scans at 50p!:rotfl: It did! So, it's back onto the list (and ready to annoy me twice a week from now on, until the store puts a SEL onto the shelf). It's on T vs M - but watch it not work as it's only available in fewer stores and no SEL so what chance do they have? Someone put me out of my misery by comparing it and showing me it actually does work (no guarantees!). If it doesn't, try taking it up with T and tell them its price in M - tell them I said so:rotfl:. Beware though - I think T do their second price collection of the week on Thursday, so it depends what's available in their stores tomorrow, rather than today and, of course, the update then isn't instantaneous - though I think we've seen T PP update by the afternoon of the same day. Leave it till Friday, then try it at your own cost and report whether it works.
And... I now have the Glade Bali Sandalwood Candle!:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: There it is - £1.48 on the shelf and that candle and price label were not there last time. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!:D I suspect it does take some time (a week or two) for items like this to roll out across more Ms, and then promptly to disappear. (The Savers frozen Mixed Veg., for instance, on their recent brief weeks of appearance first appeared in one of my stores and didn't work - it took two weeks till they reached the city store, and I suspect might have worked for a week or two then, but we never found out whether they did. They are definitely not in any of my stores now.) On the Glade Bali Sandalwood (back off the tangent and back again:rotfl:), target Sainsbobs if trying but do a shop that also works well vs M - if it remains in stock in A (or maybe order it if it doesn't) - I now have it coincidentally showing OOS in A signed in:(:(, so maybe it's about to disappear from the APG totally and never compare just at the moment when £1.48 may have been picked up. Do not hold out hope though!(:rotfl:)
The Magnum Infinity Chocolate (3) is £1, even though my first store (city store) shows "Reduced to clear £2". That means £1 btw, as confirmed by the second store (new store) today. However, on the Magnum Infinity Chocolate & Caramel (3) I have "Reduced to clear £2" in the city store, straight "£2" in the second store today and no SEL in the previous store on Monday. That means it's £1 then:rotfl:.
I do not know for definite that the Chocolate & Caramel is £1, as (unlike the Blue Detectable Plasters) I haven't scanned it at the till. However, I've decided it very likely is £1 based on its location in the stores:rotfl:.
The RTC tins and jars continue to become more risky - I no longer have any Vegetable Chilli or Casserole Sausage and, although the Sweet Piccalilli is still showing M 15p on msm, I don't have any of that left anymore now. Kesar Mango Pulp has gone - I have just an errant SEL - I doubt that will be picked up - and no Costa Orange Juice or SEL just an empty space in one of my stores now. And the Bruschetta thing that never made my list, that was 25p on Monday (or at least showing that in the other store then) is now showing 49p. I only needed to use two stores today, as using my own good intuition to decide whether the pricing on items I've technically not seen is likely to still be on or not.
I have Hellmann's Honey & Mustard Salad Dressing (235ml) as being £1.49 A (according to msm) and 75p M, but it will not be making it to the list. The 'ordinary' M own brand salad dressings are 'everyday price' 79p and, let's face it, if any supermarket can afford to have an everyday price on something, then it must be too expensive. The M own brand are 250ml, and Hellmann's 235ml adjusted to 250ml works out a bit more expensive than 79p; in any event I've seen the 'everyday price' M own brand ones on a better mbuy offer in the past than the regular everyday price (proving, IMO, that it is therefore too dear!). I'm mentioning it as I know some like it but, personally, I'd be avoiding it - too expensive.
Moving forward. You're not going to find every 'buy in M' item in a single M btw. At least I doubt you are. In fact, I've now seen the strange situation of a product showing for M on msm, when I'm signed out, go to being OOS when I sign in. I have not seen that before. Indeed, unlike the other stores, I found exactly the same products for M signed in as signed out. It seemed to come from one area for M and be across the country maybe on msm. Wonder whether they are changing to having different stock showing in different regions - maybe M's delivery systems rolling out now?
Finally, I've put the Maynard's Wine Gums and Bassett's Jelly Babies 460g cartons onto the list (sadly Tvs M rather than Avs M) as they are at £1.88:eek:, a bit lower than what you normally see so thought it worthy of mention. Nonetheless, it's still way way dearer than even the own brand bags of Wine Gums/Jelly Babies etc. (and that's on their expensive straight price let alone their still-too-dear mbuys). IMO the own brand bags are rip-offs in the major stores - none of them ever beats the 49p prices or thereabouts on much larger bags in Aldi. And, despite the branded cartons (my price guide 98p, even that surely a bit too dear?) being £1.88:eek:, I sometimes find a conflict in the price showing even within the same store. They had £1.88 on the shelf in the aisle in my main store (confirmed by the second), but still had red border £2 offer labels on stock nearer the end of the aisle:(. I've no idea how M shoppers know how much something is sometimes:rotfl:.
There's been plenty more examples (e.g. frozen food, Crisp 'n Dry Veg. Oil) in previous weeks where I've had different prices on the same item in different parts of a single store (may explain the 24 Crispy Dippers return of full price for a number of occasions during the M offer period (now expired:D, Evangeline!) - I know a number of my stores showed half price only on the freezers at the end of the aisles - and no scannable areas there - but full price labels were kept up wrongly (IMO) on the items in the main aisles). I should also mention that, separately, I've deleted completely some items from the M list now, even if their offers are still on as better alternative prices have been available or have been and gone. They've become items that no longer make it to the list, e.g. the SP Cereal Bars having gone back to 74p from their "RTC" attempt of 40p. No good anymore IMO. Anyway, that's it, the list is updated.0 -
I changed my address online with Onecall. No mention of a charge and then a few days later got a payment overdue for £55. They are now going to cancel my policy if I don't pay it. I'm trying to get a new policy rather than pay them anything.
Make sure you speak to them, as if they do cancel your policy, then you will have to declare that when taking out ANY (not just car) insurance policy. Whilst £55 seems a lot, it may be cheaper, and easier, in the long run to suck it up.0 -

I wasn't going to buy them but I realised the items in my trolley were a couple of pounds short of the APG I wanted to use so that was the only reason I picked them up
Oh well - you had a much better shop than me the other day (with the Kellogg's RK bars that you have in your store:p:mad::mad::rotfl::A), so at least we're even-stevensed a bit now:D.:)0 -

Not sure that checking the APG keeps the information there indefinitely but it does at least allow some time. (I know that's not a precise answer that you may have been seeking:rotfl:.) I had a womble some while back - another where their receipt was dated months (I exaggerate there just a touch) before the day I found it:mad::mad: - who on earth keeps receipts for months and then brings them back with them to A and leaves them in a trolley in the car park? - fortunately on this one, which was over 28 days old, it came up with a comparison - it appeared that they had checked the APG themselves at some stage, but had clearly not claimed it as it did not go straight through to a voucher but wanted email and address details so, I claimed it - more fool them!:rotfl:
Meanwhile...
Remember my relative that doesn't do APG but constantly says they are paying too much - finds items after they've bought them in A to be somewhere cheaper elsewhere and then wants to know if I can claim for them - did you buy at least 7 other different items that are on the website and in the system? No, just that one:wall:. Yet again! They've done that twice with me now - what else did you buy I asked? "Nothing" was the reply - again!!:rotfl: Well, I printed them an APG off about a month ago and even gave them their receipt and voucher - they even managed to get a glitch on the Heinz soups that I have never been able to get despite trying. I visited them earlier, and pointed out the voucher, for the fourth time, to them. Except it had - now expired yesterday!:(:( Absolutely useless. Well, if they cannot help themselves in that way, then they are totally beyond saving from themselves! There's carelessness and forgetfulness and then there's to give away money like that, is just stupid!0 -
That's more SELs showing the promo than mine had when the offer was on ... unless some other flavours have come back on?
My points are still stuck in the app since Sunday and not converting to vouchers.
Anon
:rotfl:
Maybe they are back on:rotfl: Perhaps they were deciding whether to continue the offer earlier in the week - which may have totally nothing to do with whether the prices are cheaper elsewhere, maybe they've not even noticed? - and doing similar to how my As sometimes do (usually on a Wednesday morning there) - pull an mbuy down only for it still to be on then put it back on the shelf again. Perhaps the message comes from HQ that it has ended but, by the time it reaches the stores, and they're pulling the SELs off, they've had a change of mind (perhaps seeing a competitor still has an mbuy on that they want to match) so the offer continues!! Perhaps this is like the T way of rolling over - go to full price on Sunday afternoon and then to half price again on Monday morning, even though it appeared to continue in the stores throughout at half price.
All the points signs have disappeared in both of the stores I've checked. (One on Monday and one today - I didn't check the Fox's in the second store unfortunately - assumed they were all going off.) I have seen no signs this week - but perhaps that means the offer is back on and my stores haven't got round to putting the signs back yet. Who on earth can tell? I do think, if you have signs though and a clearly non-expired date on them - I assume these have the original March date on them - then I think people should press it if the points don't go on. As I see it, the signs are part of their invitation for you to purchase and, if you do, they are part of the deal they have agreed - you buy the product for 99p and they agree, by the signs, to give you the points. It's straight contract. I don't care what the M&M T&Cs say about 'discretion' - as virtually no-one reads those and I think the use of the word "discretion" in the context in the T&Cs simply means it's at their discretion as to whether they decide to put items onto "More" offers in the first place, but once they have advertised an offer on the shelf...
It's not a matter of discretion if you have it on the shelf, and showing unexpired date. It's part of the advertised deal, which you accept (and bind them to) by buying the item. I dispute the T&Cs are incorporated and, even if they are, rely on most favourable interpretation to myself as regards their discretion in deciding whether to offer any "More points" offer, which, by the signs, they have decided to do.
Disclaimer that I do not offer or give any legal advice and you are not to rely on me etc.
Anon, your store is now more efficient than mine in putting the offer back up when it is now back on. Maybe:rotfl:.0 -
Oops, four posts in a row!:eek:
I bet everyone's reading me and that's all that's happening!
However, as I've got too many in a row again:o(:rotfl:), I'll leave for the night - goodnight!:D:D:wave::wave:0 -
Ruddy hell. Have any of you ever heard of the arm exercises called 'commandos'?
It was arms and abs today and I can honestly say I've never felt like such a weakling in my life! I think they have officially overtaken Burpees as my least favourite exercise. Looking forward to tomorrow's noodle arms. Hope nobody asks me to pick anything up :rotfl:
Night night. And a big hug for Nannylala and Snap as I wasn't around for one the other day xxDebt free 6th December 2014
