  • Morning luvlies. Just so u are aware ordered Persil end of last week and all was good as charged the RTC price in store. This morning I was charged the full price, had a look before I collected and there wasn't even a space on the shelf for them

Tried to reject the Persil but guy who brought my order out said it's too late I've already put it through, then said oh it's ok I can change it on my machine. Apparently refund will be back in my acc within 3 days. Bet I have to keep chasing it so we will see

We hired one of those rug doctors that they hire out from most supermarkets.

We got ours from morrisons as its our closest stores.

Hire on a Friday night and youll get it until Monday moring.

They advise you to use their own brand rug doctor detergent. We got a small bottle and used half of it and we all the carpets in our flat. Big living room, 2 double bedrooms and a rather grubby hallway carpet.

Thanks, I was wondering if they were 'strong' enough to cope with well...god knows what, as they aren't our carpets yet lol

My OH is the one that has to use it though, as I'm 8 months pregnant now I get a free pass ;)

    Good morning all.

    Hugs to Snap & Nanny.

A few snow flurries again this morning - and bitterly cold. Stay warm & well everyone.

  • Just got a tin of Frylight through the post from an FB comp from last year (I missed the winner post until now), also sent 3 £1 vouchers which equals 2 more tins :D

He is out at moment at the Bank, so wrapped pressies just in case he goes today

Then I decided to get the Twix & Mars into sweetie cupboard & discovered 4 packets of GOLD bars dated 10/1/15 & last years Lindt balls dated 3/14 :o:o Happy Easter chocolate ....

Whilst sorting out the loose sweets came tumbling out the cupboard & fell on the cake :eek::eek:

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone before.
Picked up shopping on Monday.....should have cost £30ish but after unavailable items etc it was £25 ish. This amount has come off my card.
Today when I go into my account I have another pending transaction for £30ish. I phoned my card provider as I have not used the card since and they tell me its pending against a transaction for Sada.
It sounds as if they are taking the payment twice?
When I was collecting instore, they were having a problem with their system.....couldn't manage to get my receipt printed. After much faffing around it eventually was but im now wondering if somehow she has put it through twice.....but then why would it take another 2 days to show? Any ideas?
    TIA

Morning all :) I had this once before Leo, the pending transaction ended up not coming off my account. The bank advised I phone back a few days later to make sure it had gone from the pending transactions and it had. Hopefully will be the same for you x

Yes I get this all the time. They put a hold on the amount that they tell you it will be and then take the actual amount separately whilst never removing what they have on hold. With my bank (coop) any hold money not claimed falls off ur account after 10 days.

I call my bank every week and get them to remove the hold amounts where the claimed payment is showing as taken as this frees up my available balance. My bank tell me they have this all the time with asda.

    Hth:)

Thanks for this. I have two chunks of cash pending on my card, one for an order I wasn't allowed to collect and one which I did collect. There are also a little collection of 1p transactions pending. And order I did afterwards is not pending. Grateful for this reassurance! I shall just keep an eye out to ensure I am not charged what I should not be charged.

Can I please pick the brains of you lovelies.

Does anyone know the best carpet cleaner that you can hire? I'm moving house and the carpets really do need to be given a thorough going over but I want to be sure I'm not hiring a rubbish cleaner that won't do the job.

    TIA!

I'm not sure how much it costs to hire a carpet cleaner...but at the moment some vax are half price in argos....maybe a worth while investment with a little one on the way if you have somewhere to store it.
    Hth

Edit: just to add...mum has a vax and it has an attachment that cleans upholstery and curtains too....ive borrowed it in the past and it doesn't leave carpets soggy, just a bit damp

Quick question for Snap-ant - no rush for an answer though. Do you know whether this is a Laura Ashley fabric? I can't get the colours to show accurately in the photo. It's really much warmer looking, with a maroonish background and dusky pink flowers.
