Can I please pick the brains of you lovelies.

Does anyone know the best carpet cleaner that you can hire? I'm moving house and the carpets really do need to be given a thorough going over but I want to be sure I'm not hiring a rubbish cleaner that won't do the job.

    TIA!

Off to collect the dreaded cake - may it remain on a plate & not on the wall ;)

Hope it ends up in your tummy instead of on the wall :D

Ah bless nothing worse that a poorly baby and lack of sleep. Hope she settles down soon:)

Here's a couple of tips I learnt when I had DD...
Next time you do cook...spaghetti Bol, cottage pie etc make double, it doesn't take much longer to prepare and freeze half. Then just defrost the night before and zap in the microwave. frozen jacket potatoes are a pretty good standby too.

Or open a tin of toms, chop, peel a carrot, onion, stock cube, squirt of pur!e...put them all in a pan to simmer when the veg is cooked blitz and you've got a pasta, meat, fish sauce with 3 of your five a day. Which can also be frozen. I used to do these on a night once I'd found my feet...the first few weeks are always a bit of a blurr.

    Hth:)

Thanks for the tips Mt2m, I'm a big fan of batch cooking. Meant to do some before she arrived but as she was early it never quite happened

Dropping DH at work at whoopsie time later so might see if there's some stuff to make whoopsie soup :D

We hired one of those rug doctors that they hire out from most supermarkets.

We got ours from morrisons as its our closest stores.

Hire on a Friday night and youll get it until Monday moring.

They advise you to use their own brand rug doctor detergent. We got a small bottle and used half of it and we all the carpets in our flat. Big living room, 2 double bedrooms and a rather grubby hallway carpet.

    Brilliant!

Have you seen the weirdness with the 3 for £4 and 2 for £3 toiletries?

Looks like most of the toothpaste has moved from 2f£3 to 3f£4.

I'm still trying to figure it out but, maybe get 3 for 4 using something that's incorrectly still in the 2f£3 to cause full prices in the comparison... which might still be risky :rotfl: as apg wont yet have current msm info.

Here's what I've been looking at if anyone fancies working it all out

Any 2 for £3 on msm
Any 3 for £4 on msm
    2 for £3 on A com
    3 for £4 on A com

Potentially loads of triggers and almost free / better than free possibilities  the multis are probably in a state of flux and could get updated any time!
I noticed that too Munqui so went out for a quick scan earlier. There were loads labelled up in the offer, mostly at £2 each. Most scanned at £2 each. some in no offer, some in the 2 for £3 offer and a couple in the 3 for £4 offer.

One scanned at £1.17 which might work as a visible trigger as if it is in the offer it will be under the £1.33 average. Another scanned as unrecognisable.

    Some were A v W and others A v T.

It all got a bit confusing really so I thought I'd better get to work and have a look online and see if I make more of it.
