  • I'm sure there will be people hammering these toothbrushes no matter what is said here. I may be tempted to get a couple after checking the price in my store. I think 2 or 3 is ok, any more and you run the risk of forfeiting your vouchers. It's in the T&Cs which someone posted recently.

Same as the UDIs, the JF oils, the big glitch of 2012 etc etc

APG price higher than price paid in store/cc/hd

    Same principle

    :)

    and there's the rub :(

As much as I think that's completely OTT, I have ordered a much smaller value of Udis/Persil recently and has been pointed out time and again it's hypocritical to say you shouldn't do something that you yourself are doing, even if you are doing it a hell of a lot less.

That's why I don't pass judgement anymore (Don't get me wrong, I roll my eyes right back in my head a lot but I've kept schtum for a long time because there is no point telling someone not to do something that they are obviously hell bent on doing)

It's a question of where to draw the "line" and we all have different ideas. i.e

If £10 is acceptable, is £15?
Well, if £15 is acceptable, is £20?
    etc
    etc
Well, if £95 is acceptable is £100?

My personal opinion is this is simply asking for trouble, but as long as this amount can be reached in one transaction people will do what they will to suit themselves :(

My sincere hope is that A will impose the £15 cap again. Not so much to stop people doing such large shops in the first place but to stop the whole "that's ridiculous/too high" debates that rip the thread apart. If there was a £15 cap then we wouldn't have the unrest that comes with it and we could all just get along happily

Instead this will cause a lot of unrest and ill feeling, a lot of showboaters will come out of the woodwork to gloat and a lot of seasoned posters will retreat to FB. What good comes of any of this? :wall:

No doubt this post will get ripped apart and it will be labelled as a "do as I say, not as I do" lecture but c'est la vie. Whatever someone thinks I do or don't do is of little concern to me

  • Big thanks to all you lovelies who have already sent me biscuit wrappers, you are fabulous!

Can I please repost the original post just in case some of you missed it. I know there's a lot of biccies wrappers floating round out there at the moment and I could sure make good use of them

I'm just asking a BIG BiG PLEASE. I am a regional collector for a charity that strives to reduce the amount of stillborn births and early deaths in babies in the UK. One of the ways we do this is by recycling biscuit wrappers to raise money which is used to print information leaflets given to pregnant mums.

If any of you lovely biscuit munchers could help by sending me your unwanted wrappers, you would be helping a fantastic cause. Please pm me if you'd like my address and I have posted a link to the charity site to better explain what we are about.

That's a bit more succinct than my post but carries the same message

  • I really ought to get stuff done now as if I've done nothing but check out prices online and post on here all morning :o Tempted to have a wander down to A5da later and check if anymore of the Simple wipes are in the 3 for £6 offer as the ones that are are only £1.64 in Morries. I need a glitch on these as I'm down to my last pack :p
