Well.....I did something I normally never do. I ate some buffet butties!:eek: I was starvingI don't normally like buffets. All those dirty hands pawing at food  but in the interests of not fainting (it was nearly 12pm by this time) I shut my eyes and threw a few butties down and hoped I'd survive to tell the tale.

went out for tea last night with family to Toby carvery and made a great discovery.
£5.99 for carvery, but on menu was carvery sandwich with yorkshire and roasts for £3.99 and extra £1 got you veg etc. So managed to get baguettes and all the normal carvery stuff £1 cheaper - not forgetting the 20% voucher I found on line.
Worth checking out the menu if you ever go to such a place.SPC 2015: #319 £10.65 / £500 Bulgaria tin0 -

Did you have a good weekend TS? Sorry if you've said, I missed most of today and all of yesterday.
My Saturday morning was as  as my Friday night :rotfl::rotfl: I 'missed' breakfast which must have been at some ungodly hour because I was up at 7.30am  I did get ONE cup of very bad instant coffee thoughwhen I enquired about the possibility of a second I was informed it wasn't worth putting the kettle on for a single cup
:o So I spent the funeral service doing false dainty coughs to cover the noise from my growling tummy
Really nice and kind people but just very old fashioned and set in their ways and obviously not used to company, bless them
I got home late this afternoon. I escaped the funeral yesterday and took advantage of my freedom to go and catch up with a friend. One with plenty of wine and proper coffee
A very leisurely weekend thanks FC, was good to spend some quality time with DD2.
Afternoon tea was a bit of a let down though.
Oh my nothing worse than a rumbly tummy in the middle of anywhere when you are meant to be being quiet.
The lack of offer of hot drink reminds me of my elderly aunt and uncle when I took Mr TS he came out saying we were never offered a cuppa and I had to explain it wouldn't have been "tea" time.
I was thinking about you yesterday. :A0 -
Glad it was not to bad fc and you survived to tell the tale xxx0
