Night night everyone. Workout then bed. I've been doing them at night lately because it's the only time I get to myself

Website 'glitch' - possibly, with new systems being introduced; could benefit everyone [fingers crossed]:D
Won't benefit me as I keep within the flamin' rules so as not to be capped, unaware that I could have exceeded a 'cap' and it wouldn't have been applied:mad:.
Oops - saying "flamin'" a bit too much, a lot of stuff flaming all the time!0 -
fairclaire wrote: »Still some £2 a kilo ones in As.....or there was when I last shopped there at the beginning of the week. Not the best of joints but as you say nice enough slow cooked
Ooh - that's what's been keeping me away from mentioning the M ones or including them on Avs Morries. Wonder if the £2.49 ones in M will compare to A at £2/kg?:rotfl:
EDIT: Yes, ones showing at 1.6Kg on msm still showing £2/kg. As for comparison from M...unlikely, as msm suggests A are fixed weight whilst the ones in M vary? However, perhaps that rule won't be applied by the system at random:rotfl:.
A.com actually says "Butcher's Selection Pork Shoulder (Typically 1.6Kg)" but, immediately underneath the product picture, says "per kg" suggesting it is sold by variable weight. The price comparisons vs A have to go off what is showing online rather than what the situation is instore. In which case - Savvy worse than the computerised pick-up systems:rotfl: - it's not "Asda" is it as it merely says "Butcher's Selection", therefore I'll class it wrongly as a branded item (brand is "Butcher's Selection") and return it N/A:rotfl:.0 -

:o it's very classy and timeless and covers a multitude of sins.
Underneath I'm wearing dark grey 14-15 YO school trousers ( for the length) and a black top.
I found a size 8 suit in the wardrobe and it laughed at me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Strangely we were talking about funeral clothes today.
My sister and I did what we knew dad liked to see, black.
Mum bought a black mac as her coat is red but compared with other non family attending he red coat would have looked classy. My boys (why we will never know) wore charcoal suits but with blue ties. Nicely Co ordinated at least.
Obviously dad's sisters were in black but not all their family.
What surprised me was it was the oldest generation who did not wear formal attire. Most wore tweed of some sort and looked more in their Sunday Best
Not everyone wore black tie or even any tie.
Friend said the same. His father was a close friend of Churchill grandson and he was very unusually clothed for the occasion.
Are people becoming more lax about funeral couture. Is it because we do not seem to go to that many. Is it not worth the outlay.
Dad had a dark charcoal grey suit over which he would wear a very expensive wool coat not dissimilar to one you see on a door man. Cronby or is that the hat.
Dad wore the same coat for over 50 years as bought when my brother died.
Because he dressed that way we were determine to keep up standards.
My friend said the same, he wouldn't feel comfortable in anything other than dark suit and coat.
I know you have left now but I hope that after the grief the day gives you some new strength.
Let's face it we have taste and class and do things correctly.
Something to add to your speech when battling for PM.
saying that I have been to a humanist funeral with no black. Was as special as we all wore a different colour from head to toe.

For me, personally, I will always wear a black tie to a funeral (it is my granadfather's tie) just from a mark of respect.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

M vs A
New version is here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=67534376&postcount=11
Just to tempt you to buy a load of things you never thought about buying before, none of which give much back.
Be aware that Mr A can be known for increasing some prices on Saturdays, so do check a.com for up-to-date pricing. Those marked as "Confirmed" are as far as I can tell they appear to have worked on my shop of 30 January.
Not included here: Dolmio c.750g as they are £1.48 in A and not free unlike previous APG glitches. Also not bothering with some items such as Domestos 2L (A's price of £1.50 is more expensive than M's previous offer), Terry's Choc. Orange £2.75 vs £1.00 A (was 75p in M last week), Quorn Peppered Steaks and Quorn Lamb Grills - now £1.50 in A, were £1.24 in M (and lowest price is £1). Not including things like McVities Baked Cheddar Cheese Biscuits and Tuc Crackers now that M's price has gone down and the items thus don't now seem much worthwhile in M. Heinz Classic Barbecue Sauce (480g)£1.89 M vs £1.00 A - with M BBQ Relish available at 15p in M - come on!
Here's the list:
Fox's Biscuits, the versions as have been reported as working and subject to the quantities and limits as may apply.
M Loose Ginger £3.49/kg £2.68/kg Perhaps if buying a more substantive quantity:rotfl:.
M Round Lettuce49p 40p Confirmed.
M Trimmed Leeks (500g)£1.49 68p But these have been cheaper in Aldi (now expired). Have these previously had More points on them, such that matching this 68p price would now be no good? And sadly if they did have More, I think they were more expensive everywhere at that time.
Dole Fruit in Jelly - Tropical Fruit in Tropical Jelly (123g)50p 25p Just an example, but may be better Avs T 25p.
Quaker Oats Crunchy Bars Ginger (5x30g)£2.19 98p:eek:
M Savers Strawberry Jam (454g)29p 29p As this doesn't compare/is unlikely to compare on the APG, so nothing lost (10% not available).
Princes Wild Pink Salmon (213g)£2.68 £1.00 Careful - when did A go on offer? Also: A own brand vs M may be 10% cheaper.
OXO Stock Cubes Beef (24 per pack - 142g)£2.19 £1.44 (but not as good as 10% cheaper than M at previous £1.50 Avs M)
OXO Stock Cubes Chicken (24 per pack - 142g)£2.19 £1.44 (as above)
Ye Olde Oak American Style Hot Dogs (6 per pack - 560g)£1.98 £1.00 Q. expensive - but are there some More points on this product? Do they make it worthwhile?
M Savers Tuna Chunks in Brine (170g)79p 56.97...p
Dr. Oetker Ristorante Funghi Pizza (365g)£2.99 £1.48 And others. NB M multisave may reduce Match points.
Quorn Turkey & Stuffing Style Slices (100g)£1.59 £1.00 Confirmed.
Quorn Cocktail Sausages (180g)£2.24 £1.00
Clover (1Kg)£3.70 £1.96 A little more expensive than 10% cheaper vs M previous £2.
Bertolli Original Spread (500g)£1.90 95p But own brands may be cheaper - also q. expensive compared to ICBINB 1Kg in A vs M I hope.
Bertolli Light Spread (500g)£1.90 95p This one confirmed. But see note above.
M Savers Sausage Rolls (8 per pack - 480g)£1.19 £1.00
Morrisons Free Range Eggs Medium (6)£1.39 89p Confirmed
Morrisons British Semi Skimmed Milk 6 Pints (3.41L)£1.99 £1.30 Confirmed
Morrisons British Whole Milk 6 Pints (3.41L)£1.99 £1.30
Also (slightly worse per l., but I've included it because it's 1%: )
Morrisons British 1% Fat Fresh Milk 4 Pints (2.27L)£1.39 89p Max.2 - unless you want to hit M mbuy.
M Savers Liver Pate Chubb (113g)41p 35p Maybe non-comp, who knows?
Morrisons Pork & Egg Roll (200g)£1.00 88.1057...p Maybe not - depends if the number of slices is seen as making it non-comp, even though it is within 20% weight from M's product.
Activia Intensely Creamy Yogurt - Velvety Vanilla (4x110g)£2.39 £1.00 An illustrative example - this one confirmed as working 30/1, unless something fantastic happened on the rest of my shop:rotfl:. Lots of other Activia Intensely Creamys may compare Mvs A at £1 - check a.com, and cross your fingers! NB M mbuy may reduce match points, may be reduced if one you buy doesn't compare.
Nestle Milkybar White Chocolate Dessert (4x70g)/Nestle Rolo Chocolate Dessert (4x70g)/Nestle After Eight Dessert (4x70g)£2.00 £1.00 But slightly worse than previous 10% cheaper than M. Careful - these may only have gone on offer in A today and therefore may not work until tomorrow (Sunday).
Tetley Tea Bags (240)£5.78 £2.87
Barr Irn Bru (8x330ml)£3.99 £1.92
Barr Irn Bru Sugar Free (8x330ml)£3.99 £1.92
Cathedral City Baked Bites - Real Cheddar (5x22g)£1.69 89p 300 More points. Msm says £1 - I hope price of £1.69 showing in my M, and the More points offer, are correct. They were £1.69 for M on the APG.
Morrisons Italian Breadsticks (125g)69p 49p
Morrisons Sunflower Seeds (100g)75p 50p Expensive:rotfl:.

Morrisons Ibuprofen 200mg Tablets (16)30p 25p
M Savers Styling Gel (300ml)31p 15p:eek::eek: I feel this may not work, as called "A Styling Gel" on a.com not "A S/P Styling Gel", even though it is A S/P. I therefore replaced it - with M Toad in the Hole (300g) (frozen) (M £1 and A 85p) which, it appears, does not work!
May be other items in the own brand frozen ready meals area of M, that are not showing on msm, that may compare vs A at 85p pricing. However, the Toad in the Hole appears not to work. I note that it was the only item on my shop that does not appear on m.com, so I don't know if that affected anything. Perhaps a sizeable, and non-insignificant, part of M's range - maybe a quarter, or even more - is not online. Surely items that are available instore do compare even if they are not on m.com, or otherwise how could they offer a price match?
I'm sure there could be more good comparable from M, vs A, but sadly not got details of every price in M.
Also Mvs A:
Here are the ones from the M list that I'd be 'willing' to risk as being vs N/A at A (therefore 'fillers', but be aware of possible risks with these):

Pick up receipts from anywhere you find them, have a look and if they are not any good, put them in the nearest bin - to the shoppers you are just tidying up!
Totally agree Jelly, nobody seems to bother. Muggles don't seem to understand anyway. I prefer not to look at them, just shove them in my pocket and sort them out later, I even have some tissue to help dry out the soggy ones.;)
I like blustery or windy days when wombles tend to be more readily available at the edge of the carpark to which the wind is blowing, particularly if there is a hedge or bushes. Otherwise as others have said empty trollies are the best source, or underneath them.
ChelseaFred:cool:0 -
I can't say all the staff don't care about wombling. I did have one once that challenged me, took a number of receipts to the CS to check the store's own CS individual policy and returned after a few minutes to say that they would accept them "this time". Told me that A were cracking down on them. I have been more, um um, careful ever since - but I get inconsistent information (subtle, implied) out there as to what is what. I had no idea I would be seen by other shoppers, if they saw me, as just tidying up - they might think I am very strange. Then again, I've been mistaken for a member of staff a number of times in M:rotfl: (perhaps because, like them, I am looking at the shelves) and even given helpful assistance to other customers on a few, small number of occasions. I've always made clear that I'm not a staff member though. Perhaps Mr M staff thought I worked for Mr A earlier, when I seemed to know all of A's prices that they were to be matching:rotfl:.0

They're getting there, perhaps. Items such as Milky Bar Dessert are now on m.com (and presumably now being sold online) that have 'traditionally' been absent.0
