I am quite happy with my spend. It is my cupboards I am trying to reduce. try hard but they never seem to go down. I just get sucked in with the offers.
You might find it useful to make a stocklist of everything in each cupboard, and stick it to the front, to avoid getting duplicates. You can update the stocklist as the stocks go down.
And maybe try some of the ingredients websites where you enter a list of stuff you've got and want to use up, for meal planning, like
    http://www.supercook.com
    http://www.gomakeamealofit.com/
    http://recipesuggester.co.uk/
I used these to use some weird and wonderful things in my store cupboards a while ago; but I never did find a use for the pickled turnip:)

A tip for anyone using the M&M card and wanting to ensure the card has scanned: scan the card first, before any of your shopping, and in the Your Shopping bit of the display on the left, look for the little yellow-and-green M&M icon in the top right corner; or scan the card at any point during the shop, again looking for the M&M icon.

I scanned my (temp.) card first. I later made the mistake of scanning it again, just to make sure... only for the system to grind to a halt and require staff approval to void the duplicate scan of the card off:(. So, if you're using SS and haven't before, don't scan it more than once in the same transaction!

If anyone is doing an M&M and requires another 40-odd p to reach £15 spend (or value of their £5 vouchers) and maybe needs 9p more to reach their next 5,000, perhaps buy an M Round Lettuce at 49p. Mine very much looks like it compared vs A at 40p. I was in A later, with an attempt at a shop that failed as they were OOS of an important item yet again:mad:. The Round Lettuces in that A as well appear to be very small - seems like the 40p r'back price has been accompanied by a reduction in size. So I got a more substantive Round Lettuce from M:):T. Size isn't on a.com just each, so they compare a treat!:j A few more leaves on a lettuce eh and I'm happy! Easily pleased:rotfl:. Wasn't too happy with the milk though, but never mind, the ones in my M (6 pint semi) only had about a week on them and not the 10 days that I normally get if I were buying one in A. Didn't actually need milk immediately - still a couple of days on my current stock but - it'll just about manage!
