Ooo, speaking of JF oil... is the pink poo available for anyone online anymore? it's NA in my 10 nearest stores!
I'm thinking they have fixed it or supplier has ran out
I noticed yesterday that it is unavailable for me to order on A's now.
I'm wondering if they are going to stop stocking it. I hope not.N1LDA0 -
Which one would you go for??
I don't drink coffee myself pippo and Mr TS is a ground coffee man with some contraption your put on the stove.
I did get DD2 a Tassimo offer last year as lots of people here seem to recommend them and I think occasionally the pods glitch in multibuys on As.
I am sure someone will be along, think from memory FC and zippy have Tassimos.0 -
So, me going my own way again and doing my own thing. I did a very expensive 'essentials' shop - very expensive as not getting as much APG back. Managed to make 8 items vs Sains. I like the column of red on the Sains side though, I suppose:p. Not buying any 10p sweets as, if I buy any of those, I immediately lose my 10% on the bread. We were running low on, and needed, a lot of frozen veg.
7 items (6 different) on your bill qualify for comparisonSainsbury's
+£1.42
1 x ASDA Smartprice Cheese Slices (10 per pack - 170g)£0.50N/A
1 x Trebor Softmints Peppermint (43g)£0.60£0.40
1 x Trebor Extra Strong Mints Roll£0.60£0.40
2 x ASDA Chosen by You Broccoli, Cauliflower & Baby Ca...£3.00£2.00
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Freshly Frozen Cauliflower & Br...£0.98£1.00
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Freshly Frozen Button Sprouts (...£0.99£1.00
1 x ASDA Chosen by You Cook from Frozen Cod Fishcakes ...£1.00N/A
1 x ASDA Smartprice Medium Sliced White Bread (800g)£0.45£0.40
Comparison total (compared products only)£6.62£5.20
The sweets may be good for a short while yet, and the frozen veg. - on 2 for £2 in S - for somewhat longer.
I am just counting my losses though. Two expensive fillers there - total £1.50:eek:, though I suppose the APG back pays for them. I could have had, for example, a single Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles roll instead of one of the Trebors. However, I decided that 17p for a Fruit Pastilles roll - I think that is about what they work out at (unless my calculation is wrong:o) - is too expensive for that amount of Fruit Pastilles as Dominion Fruit Pastilles (230g) at 49p in Aldi always beat the prices of even the own brand bags available in the supermarkets. Branded carton prices in the supermarkets, even at their lowest, are also always still way more expensive per 100g than the Dominion bags in Aldi are. Based on the Dominion price, we have the tube of Rowntrees - 52.5g - at even 17p working out at over 74p:eek: if it were 230g! It's still way expensive at 17p!
I therefore went for the Trebor but, even then, it's still 17p for lower weight of that compared to Fruit Pastilles tube, so I'm then caught by the counter-argument (all of which I've considered of course, rationally and logically) that it's therefore even worse, although I suspect because they aren't any Dominion Extra Strong Mints in 230g bags. There are smaller 200g bags at more expensive price (than the 49p Pastilles) and also 5 pack tubes at 99p.
The Cod Fishcakes are an overpayment. Although it seems they are best (or least worst: we shop for everything reluctantly!(:rotfl:)) for a major supermarket, they are 400g when there are 12 pack 504g in Iceland for 89p (according to msm). So, that is another overpayment as should be about 70.6p on Iceland's PPU. Call it a loss of 30p:(. (I suppose the Fishcakes are better than the Bird's Eye, CB or anything up your sleeve excluded - they are only 4 per pack and much less weight. 75p for 4 = £1.50:eek: for about the same as the A own brand ones, although maybe 10% on BE if on right comp.)
And, however, although I didn't get Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles, I still got Maynard's Wine Gums (as that was the trigger) and ended up at 17p for them - again, still probably an overpayment given that Dominion Wine Gums would be cheaper by weight. The Bread was a further loss as should have been whoopsie 9p, so yet another 36p-9p = 27p lost. It's adding up:eek: - 30p on the fishcakes, 27p on the bread and possibly 6 or 7p on the Wine Gums. Plus another loss on the Brussels Sprouts as they were 75p low some time ago - and then vs 75p at a competitor took us to 67.5p which now makes it quite a loss compared to 90p. Another 22.5p:eek:. They have become more expensive in more recent times - inflation again:p:o! Far more than 0.5%!
Part of this was paid for by the APG off a shop that included some glitched crisps. So - now overpaid by about 85p (even after:eek: APG) on this new shop, making the four packs of crisps I bought now over 21p more expensive - so they now become probably about 75p each instead of 54p (figures not remembered correctly) - what's the point, as 75p for 6 pack crisps is well dear:(:rotfl:?... May as well have done the own brand vs Morries, even on higher than previous eday pricing, would have been cheaper possibly!).
The Cheese Slices were needed and, as long as they keep back at 50p, seem a good filler vs everywhere. £2.94/kg is a 'good' PPU - if we take £5/kg on 'normal' cheeses as a guide (even that's dear!:rotfl:). I've ceased buying those Cheese Slices - or any others - for several months, in which they were higher priced but noticed they have gone back to 50p more recently. They sometimes manage to stay at that for about a week, judging by msm price history, not that I can rely on that. I notice though, when some prices go up, I have a tendency sometimes to avoid that item and to start buying a different item yet the different item, on offer, is often more expensive PPU than the original item I'd now been avoiding due to the price increase even at the price increase PPU - very strange psychology - avoiding certain things because of huge sensitivity to price increases and yet the replacements are worse deals than even the original item on the price increase price. I suppose like, for example, the 12.5Kg huge sack of potatoes in Morries than, even at £4 full price, are still cheaper per kg than the 'normal' 2.5kg bags at £1+ prices. That said, I much prefer to get 12.5Kg bags at £2 only!:rotfl: (Solution is trying to get that to last from one offer to the next.)0 -

No cereal bars for me. I still seem to have 6 boxes of the beach bag ones. No one eats them. DS2 will only have the nutrigrain one.
Is anyone else having trouble claiming CB for the Butchers dog food on COS/CS? Every single time I submit a receipt with it on (and I've done several) it comes back items ineligible. Doesn't matter which store I buy it in.....always the same. It's rather frustrating.
I had Evian Water reject on my CoS claim and sent them an email asking them to review it again and told them which item on the receipt was the water and they responded and credited it within the hour.
I forgot to claim the dog food when I submitted a receipt on CS and then it wouldn't let me submit the same receipt again for the item I missed. Went on Live Chat and they sorted it for me via a manual claim. Which then also allowed me to claim again for the dog food.0 -

I love my tassimo and so do the kids. It's not as easy to get a regular supply of cheap pods as it was when I first got mine, which is a shame. They used to have £10 off £25 and free del codes regularly but their offers are less generous these days.
We did have a good glitch on them a while back though. Be nice if that one came up again.0 -
evening all hope the elite are well,xx

glad lots of you got the cereal bars decided to sit this one out, as have plenty from last glitch and as subs for the udis, and also can not really afford to take the risk of it not working at the moment .0

Still, one of my inacurate (sic):rotfl: transactions so it is another favourable thing - even though it's traditionally been hard for me to ignore something that's inaccurate. It would have been only £1.02 APG (again my own calculations being correct permitting) if it had calculated on the real prices! (A £6.42 vs S £6.00.)0
