Redundancy looming - advice

Hi all
Just after some advice for my mum please?
She's been in her job for 3.5 years but it looks like the company is closing down - it's been in financial difficulty for some time. My mum has been applying for jobs so hopefully she'll be hearing some time soon but I just want to get some advice as she is worrying herself sick.
She is 59, lives in a rented house, has no savings and no pension What help, if any , would she get if she was unable to find a job?
Many thanks

She would claim JSA and would also be able to claim for housing benefit although I believe it is called something else now. Im no expert but possibly income support.
She really needs to be saving as much as she can now
She should get at least 3 weeks notice or pay in lieu and also 4.5 weeks redundancy pay.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Put her details in to this calculator without any income and see what happens http://www.entitledto.co.uk/benefits-calculator/startcalc.aspx0
