If we miss a Gapper (as we call them) then we get bollocked by the manager. We aren't watching you on your phone, it all comes down to the receipt and you sitting by yourself
You think we don't know that ;-)
We do the job, follow the brief, eat the food and do the report, you rumble us? Hey it happens :-)
I stopped working for Gap a few years ago, I eat there alone when I'm out and about, asking for a receipt means I get my food fast, a clean table and a cracking floor show
Newer shoppers, don't worry about being rumbled, as long as you do your job then you've done nowt wrong. You can't do anything about the sometimes stupid briefs.0 -
I think I completely confused my local this week, as my reg plate is now on a different car to the one on the poster just inside the collection window. Two people prepared the order, and they still gave me the wrong food. I don't do the sit-in jobs now, as during the last experience, someone came and sat down next to me, and asked if I'd like to try the new desserts. He could not have been creepier if he had been rubbing his thighs.
A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work0 -
Asking for a receipt, knowing you're rumbled, and then still seeing staff make a catalogue of service errors afterwards - that's the one. And then (we're in MF territory here), getting back client queries claiming you're making-up their s*** service. I swear some of these places wouldn't know good service if they were sat down and shown a video of it.0

The pastry lunch visit do we still buy one item even if offered extras such as meal deal?0

I can't find any guidance/FAQ on the GAP profile- do they need a scan of your passport and how do you enter your bank details (ie what format)?0

I don't know. I thought it was poorly worded as well. It sounds to me like you can buy something else. Maybe in a second transaction? The reimbursement is much more than one item. If you get an answer from the MS company, please share0 -

The way I read it is you CAN accept the up-sell to a meal deal or other item (in reality they are only going to offer a drink and maybe a cake) if you want, if it takes you over the spend you don't get reimbursed. By the looks of it you can get a savoury, drink and a cake all within the spend.0 -
Has anyone ever done a budget airline/holiday job for MF?
I've just spotted one today and done a preliminary accept once I read through the details. I'm going to give the office a call in the morning, as I notice that the exact reimbursement figures are not given, but I'd like to ask you guys if there are any pitfalls or experience you might've had in the past that would be good to know.
Thanks in advance!0 -
The reply ...
Thank you for your email. You are required to initially order one savoury item but if offered an additional item or meal deal, we only cover the cost of the one savoury item.
The job notes state "You may make additional purchases if you wish, however you must initially ONLY select and purchase the one savoury item of your choice, allowing the team member to offer the meal deal. Any purchases after your initial transaction above the allocated reimbursement amount will be at your own expense. You must obtain a receipt for your purchases."
The location you have chosen is a take away only so you should not be asked if you want to eat in or take away.
So no the reimbursement is high for no reason really...0
