Acronis True Image

When I try to produce a backup, Acronis indicates that there is a file error in my C file. I have the choice of "ignore" that that doesn't work. Consequently, I can no long back up. Is there anyway of finding the file fault before I try to back up?
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

Does the log expand on the error?

The most probable reason for the backup error are bad blocks on your hard drive or file system errors, so the solution will be to check your drives for errors, also try to create s sector-by-sector backup and validate it.0

I gave up with true image years ago because it failed too many times. I don't trust their software now, none of it works reliably enough for me and I have tried a lot of it.0

Are you sure it's the software and not your hardware that's at fault? I've been using it for at least the last 5 years and never had a problem, and while I haven't needed to restore anything I have experimented with it just to be sure it works, and it does.0 -
Likewike - been using it for probably nigh on 10 years
Have cloned and restored disks no problem.0 -
I've had no problems with Acronis True Image after a decade of use... although I am using an old version that's only works under Windows XP...0
