Dacia - hows that for service?
Met a freind today who has a Dacia duster.
Except he was driving another Duster, and not his usual Duster.
It transpires that he was called by Dacia, because they were not happy with the quality of some of the paint finishes on early models and they wanted to take his car in for inspection and he could drive around in a new one whilst his was in for inspection. They will fix any issues they find and extend his warranty by 1 year. They've had it for 2 weeks.
Just thought I'd mention it.
No connection.
I'm not a Dacia owner myself.

They're not doing any favours, it's more than just poor paint quality, serious rust is coming through some Indian built Dusters.0

I have read that from September/October 2014 all RHD Dacia Dusters will be built in the European plant, not sure where that is.
Romania?0 -
Giving the owner a loaner while a car has recall work done to it to avoid later warranty issues (corrosion in this case) is the norm for any manufacture isn't it? Which manufactures/their dealer networks wouldn't do this?0

What a shocker... manufacturer of !!!! car gives customer a shiny new one to drive around in while they smear some Jenolite on the rust and paint over it.
Hardly good service. Good service would have been not building such a shed in the first place.0 -

There have only been 1/200 vehicles with the rust issue.
From what I have read a huge % have been White.
The Duster must have sold more than 20k units in RHD by now so hardly a massive issue.
And much better than the way some manufacturers deal with common problems.
Jaguar being one that springs to mind.0 -
Likes like good service to me0

They are at least being proactive in doing the recall.
Problems happen it's how you deal with them that makes the company.0 -

Suzuki! Mine was recalled twice, the first time they offered me a lift in to town and the second I got nothing.0
