I went into a branch and withdrew my funds in full today – they paid the annual interest with the bonus on 1 March.

For some weird reason from 1 to 3 March it remains the regular saver issue 2 – then tomorrow it moves to the new instant access tracker account.

All that has happened is that I have lost the 3% interest for one day – but by withdrawing today my cheques will clear by Thursday/Friday and I can pay them into other higher paying accounts before next weekend.
  • I was asked for ID when closing my Regular Saver, just posting this to let others know, they might want to take ID with them when dealing with the account, saves a wasted journey!

I was asked for *two* forms of ID. I had my driving licence but they asked for a debit card as well. As I had left mine at home I then had to answer a number of security questions instead.

My account's closing balance has now reached my bank safely (<2pm today) having requested this method of payment by following the online link given in the letter received.

I phoned up two days ago to check on amount of interest actually included in figure was as expected (all was OK there)

For anyone still with £100 or more savings with the Leeds time to vote against the Board's AGM recommendations. No chance of defeating anything, but if they get a spike in no votes they may get the message.
